Bohn Bohn and Selkie are what you get when the two clans blend, though–and they look very similar. Tren looks pure Sar’Teri. Realistically, of course, the children of two very different looking parents can have the full range of features from fully looking like one parent to fully looking like one of the other, but from what Bohn Bohn is saying, Selkie is the first other mixed-clan kid she’s met.
That said, technically being step- or half-sibs doesn’t matter much to kids who were raised the same way in the same house by the same parents. These two read like full siblings to me, though of course we can’t know until Dave tells us!
I didn’t really notice it until now, but if you look at all the other Jin’Sorai we’ve seen including Plo Quar, they have more of a pinkish/warmer tint to their skin. Selkie and Bohn Bohn have a bluer/cooler tint. Presumably, that cooler tint is from their Sar’Teri side since they generally have dark green skin.
I’m wondering what their adult markings will look like when they come in, if they’ll be more Jin’Sorai with the freckles and eye shading, or be a mix of that and the Sar’Teri blocky lines.

Nah, Bohn Bohn is two clans, one parent is Sar’Teri, the other is Jin’Sorai. This would be her full brother just being a snitch as siblings often are.

Tren is much darker than mom though, it’s possible he’s also half-clan but trended toward the opposite direction
