My parents have a labrador who is completely and unapologetically food-motivated. I think she and Selkie would get along.

ANDI: Jesus Christ. It's literally a big featureless government brick.
ANDI: I'm a bit skeeved out by this whole thing. A lot skeeved. ALL the skeeved.
TODD: It'll be okay, Andi. I've been doing this for months now. It gets easier.
SELKIE: Alls I know is I gets to skip school, I gets second breakfast, ANDS I gets to ask about Echo stuff. This place is now my favorite brick.

Today's edition of the Secret Commentary is empty, because Dave failed to come up with something for it.
My Jack Russell Terrier is similarly motivated. He’s literally ok with *anything* if food is present.
When did Andi have time to dye her hair?
If she had a couple of hours she could’ve done it. My Mom dyes her hair two hours before she goes to bed.
While Todd took the girls out for breakfast. I have a feeling it’s part of her daily ritual as she just uses wash out dye.
This was mentioned earlier. She spray dyes. It’s washout.
Andi uses temporary color sprays and has gotten pretty proficient at applying them quickly.
Second breakfast? Merry and Pippin would be on board with this brick as well.
I mean look how they treated Saurman after getting to eat.

First time I ever saw someone happy about going to a government building
Dave, can you post pictures of that Labrador?
Of course!

For some reason, my reaction to that video was “PAAANNNTSSS!”
Thank you.
That video is the laziest game of “Eat Your Face” I’ve ever seen! LOL <3
This is my brick. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Way to go Selkie. Always look on the bright side.
I’m hoping Selkie’s casual attitude will go a long way to making Amanda relax. Poor girl is looking pretty terrified. 🙁
Selkie had an …immersive…. Experience to help her come to grips with that which she is – being always unlike the others, until she found her others… Poor Amanda has just become the other, for whom there is yet no hint of community. Feeling scared and having no one else like her, well, that looks mighty scary from where I’m sitting.
I sympathize with the poor girl, buuuuuut the Schadenfreude in me hopes she remembers EVERY. TIME. SHE. BULLIED. SELKIE. Just for being “different” and “getting all the attention.”
This could be a powerful bonding lesson for them, if Selkie is receptive and Amanda is able to see the similarities through her abject terror.
It is a twist in the plot I could -Never- have predicted
Selkie’s getting a better handle on her pluralses.
Bug report: This page isn’t linking to the next one. “Next ›” and “Last ››” are plain text. Same issue in both Firefox and Chromium.
Spotted a continuity error:
Selkie is wearing grey/blue pants on this and the following page, while she is later back to wearing the pink skirt she wore previously.
Ah dammit. Thanks for the catch
just realized that it’s Todd, the architect, who’s critiquing the appearance of the building. Nice touch.
