Additionally, even though it did not win the vote, I saw a lot of people wanting a wallpaper, and I had a really fun idea for a wallpaper, so I decided to go ahead and change the rules a bit. Today is a double update AND a comic-themed wallpaper.

Ahhh, ye tue see thee plots future as well. Good to see another seeras well. I see in most comics (on zee web) start more realistic and slowly dip deeply into fictional stories. However, I see more planning in this web comic then others. BUT to you creator of this fiction I say this, may your readers never be fewer and be fearless of what choice you make for ye story. End of writing vent.

You know, Selkie is a lot like Elpheba (Wicked Witch of the West) from the musical, Wicked. She’s supposedly ugly, and everyone around her thinks so, but the audience is like, “She’s beautiful, if you ask me.” 🙂
I guess even if the novel described her as ugly, they weren’t going to bring an ugly actress up onstage for a Broadway play. Whatever, Selkie is still, and always will be, adorable.
I really like the comparison to Elpheba, Flu.

Thanks for the wallpaper and double post. I voted for wallpaper, but I think I would have gone crazy with that cliff hanger, so I really liked that the double post won. lol But the wallpaper was very cute!

*fanboy squeal* YES! We have all been waiting for this part and finally it is here now I can stop worring about checking in every hour to see if you updated all sneaky like. I can’t wait to find out what makes her a special needs kid(maybe something to do with her skin? She seems to be like a fish so she might need her skin to be wetish, by that I mean the fact that frogs like bein wet and fish swim all the time so maybe in the future selkie will show off awesome swimming skills?) And Dave you should use that awesome header you showed us with the last update. It would be stupid to waste such wonderful artwork. Can wait for the next update! Hurry up with it soon! 😀

Loved the double post!! Wallpaper is so nice it’s a cute way of remembering the kids since I’m assuming they won’t appear much more soon. I came all the way back here to say that when I first read through this story, I wasn’t sold on your skills as a writer until this strip. Selkie talks like a child, and that’s actually a hard effect to pull off. I especially like “Can I make you clean poops for laughing at me?” Anyone who talks to children regularly can attest to the quality of the writing in this conversation.
Now Selkie really will be even more surprised and think it has to be “craps.”
