Fish cheeks are a great delicacy. With the extra virtue that when you’re eating a Chinese whole fish, all the other people at the table are grossed out at the idea, so you always get to eat them. 🙂
One of the most fantastic meals I’ve ever eaten was cod cheeks (two of them–cod must be gigantic fish) at a restaurant in Reykjavik.
Te Fahn is smiling? Is that her “I want a hug too” face?
She does seem both happy and a bit sad at the same time. I’d guess she sees how wonderful friendship Selkie and George have and is happy for them.
Pperhaps she also understands that she can’t compete with that for long time, possibly ever. And hopefully that she doesn’t have to.
“Face meats!” – stolen from Questionable Content. 😄
Honestly, there willbe meat after a game of deathball
“Fix you up and go eat!”
Replied to the wrong comment. >_<
Apparently, the cheeks have some good meat on them. I learned that from a documentary about one of the early American colonies that didn’t do so well.

… but I admit that I’ve never worked up the courage to eat fish eyes, also considered a delicacy by the Chinese.
