Knowing Todd and Andi’s history… Not sure “bro” is the most appropriate pet name here. Implications abound with that one. Bud would be more acceptable in my opinion.
It feels to me more like she’s trying to make a reference. I’ve heard people say “that’s a dumb move, bro” before, so it seems more like she’s trying to reference that sort of quote.
My brain just took this another step and now I’m hearing Andi saying to Todd, “You’re killin’ me, Smalls.”

I just realised, Grandpa may have taken the opportunity to talk to Avery because Grandpa thought Todd had time to have spoken to him by this point.
He did tell Todd to let the feds know he knew and would cooperate. He probably figured that had already been done.
My head cannon is grandpa is an old vet whos played the secret squirrel games that the 3 letter agencies play. and tweaked the nose of the alphabet boi. I would dearly love to see that the old man has a BIG honking file with a bunch of clearances incl Yankee white that are all still technically active. Get old Avery to poop himself real good.
