(FYI, common chlorine bleach + ammonia produced chlorine gas, one of the weakest versions of chemical warfare used in WW1; it immediately irritates the eyes, nose, lungs, and throat of anyone exposed. High enough doses are certainly lethal enough, though not dying from it is still quite horrible and debilitating.)
Actually, it produces chloramine gas, not chlorine gas. Slightly different.
It’s important to note that as an irritant it’s basically like tear gas. If you don’t evacuate it can potentially be lethal, but it’s much more likely to make you flee the building than kill you.
Hmm… perhaps I should have read more than one article… but there’s limits on how much research I’m willing to do for the sake of a single comment post.
