It’s a trick, but…

TODD: Oh. Great. HE made it.
ANDI: Oh... is that Agent... Adverb?
THEN: Hahaha! "Agent Adverb"! I certainly haven't heard THAT one a thousand times a day!
THEN: Girls, come here. I want to show you something.
THEN: You're both Echos, despite all reason and rational decency. Can you tell me what you see when you look at this?
AMANDA: What do you think?
SELKIE: It's a trick. Mister Pohl said you needs fire-eyes to see Echo stuffs. THAT'S what he wants to see.
[SILENT STARING]
AMANDA: If I puke, you can't laugh at me.
SELKIE: I promise nothings.

“It’s a trap!”

So technicolor yawns prove she’s an echo?
Looks like Amanda’s control over the situation has improved. A lot.
She might be getting used to it, but it’s not necessarily under “control”. You can see in the last panel that she’s removing her barrete to get fire-eyes.
It does look like Selkie’s eyes are a little more “fire” and a little less “dim glow” than last we saw, though.
Selkie opened the faucet.
Amanda pulled the plug off the fire hydrant.
Which I’m sure Selkie will find comforting once she finds out – even if Amanda has more raw power right now, Pohl’s attempt to reattune Selkie did in fact work and she can eventually get back to her natural resonance affinity, or at least much closer to where it should have been before the suppressor. Plus, she doesn’t have the same worries about modulating it so she doesn’t puke.
Hey, Selkie has managed the voice! Now she can perform epic prank calls and Halloween scares.
Not that long ago, Amanda wouldn’t have even thought to ask for Selkie’s opinion, and Selkie wouldn’t have given her truthful one anyway.
That’s a big step forward for both of them. Amanda is big enough to realize she doesn’t know anything about this stuff, and that Selkie, while not knowing a whole lot, knows more than her. Selkie meanwhile understands that Amanda needs help, not snark, and that at least for now it’s best to play it straight.
I’ve been meaning to say something: I don’t know anything about hair dye but isn’t it a little crazy that andi was able to dye her hair fully before 9? They implied it was a limited amount of time. They couldn’t have had more than a couple hours at most, right?
Andi uses quickly-applicable spray colorings. Since she changes hair color almost daily, she doesn’t use long-term dyes
Sisters, de-facto, not just sisters de-jure. Which is better than sisters de jour, that’s something else entirely.
“If I puke you can’t laugh at me”
“Of course I’ll laugh at you, but I will also hold your hair while you do it”
That’s how family works
