Uuhh… -EDIT- Based on some conversation in the Selkie Discord server, I modified the director commentary for this strip to something a bit more interesting.
The other day I met a girl with pointed elf ears. Not fake slip-ons, surgical body mods. They looked natural. I basically winged the waitress's character design since she's not gong to be on-screen long. Almost gave her similar elf ears, but I figured it would need too much external explanation.
Fire Emblem Fates has some questionable stuff in the Marriage options. The characters being referenced here are actually the protagonists adopted sisters.
Minor change to Benny's appearance from his first showing in Avery's wallet photo is his cheek markings. I realized while drawing this that he's old enough that he should be developing facial marks by now. I'm rationalizing the discrepancy by the wallet photo being slightly outdated.
