I’m also liking that Todd has had enough of a chance to breathe that he’s encouraging Selkie (though also toning it down some), helping her to see that he’s okay with it, even though he’s probably praying for a little maturity to temper her… er… enthusiasm somewhat.

Also, Pohl is almost certainly technically breaking laws here, but he’s clearly decided “fuck it. Todd /needs/ to know this, and he needs to be able to talk to a friend about it on a regular basis or this’ll eat him up and drive him crazy. He’s a good man, I’m not going to let that happen, and Brown’s just going to have to fudge the paperwork when it comes.”
I imagine it’d be similar to whatever regs are involved in classified events that civilians were party to… Todd wasn’t snooping for secrets, but now needs to be brought into the fold, legally speaking.

I’m honestly not sure how laws would even work in a case like this. Like Todd can’t put the secret documents folder he’s been given on facebook, but would it be unlawfull for him to document and share things he’s seen on his own?
Likewise, Pohl is a civilian, if he did his hologram projection thing in public, would he be breaking any laws? Can there be laws against something that’s top secret to begin with?
If information is classified it’s classified. Releasing it is illegal whether you steal documents and publish them or take pictures of something you’re not supposed to.
Getting him cleared and sworn in is probably the safest thing for everyone. It doesn’t look like he has any big black marks in his past. Doesn’t seem to be big into drugs, gambling, debts, foreign entanglements, or anything similar. He knows how to keep his mouth shut. And he definitely has need-to-know. Just put him through a background check, jigger the classification of this to the level of clearance he can get, tell him everything relevant, and explain how to maintain information hygiene. The government does it all the time

as for todd, he´s clearly recovering nicely when he can already joke with selkie about the best ways to use her ‘uber-awesome scary fire eyes of doom’.
today’s fan art — it was the realization that the “friends” I thought I had were very much like this twerp (the ones who weren’t MUCH MUCH worse) that finally taught me to stop trying to make friends with anybody ever again. It’s not worth the damage nor the pain.
Really this just shows the kind of people who are attracted towards me. Kind of like sharks converging on a critter which is leaking blood into the water.

No, the tiny lines coming off the character linework. It makes the linework look shaggy & doesnt actually look like shading, it just looks wierd.

I'm all for experimenting, but (as a humble reader who's very appreciative and in awe of an artist giving us nearly 1000 pages of free entertainment!), I've been less of a fan of the art style changes these past few arcs. The clean lines and coloured shading from earlier on in the strip looks, to me, far better.
I was rereading the dinner at the Da'MaDiea's arc recently (around the 400s) and the art was so beautiful in that style.
