(probably a bit off especially since it doesn’t translate to text well but you get the idea…)
Da da da dah, di di di di DAH, Da da da dah, di di di di DAH, hey! hey! hey! hey! HEY!!!!!
Apologies for barging in on this delightful thread of obscure dance refs, but I have to throw in the dance of Dur-an-dor-an-dor, or whatever it’s called. (Fable 2, Hollow Men.)
The only vid I could find, the player chose to fight rather than giving them back their accursed gem, and it’s been years since I played it, so I can’t google more effectively. That being said, I believe it goes something like this: “Gregory, no, your left foot goes in, and THEN out…”
I live in hope that someone else on this board will know what the frickity-foo I’m talking about! In any case, the joy of dance knows not the boundaries of age, species, or even death.
“The Mamushkas, ha-ha! Taughts to us by our Sharks Peoples cousins, the Mamushka has been an Nei Li Family traditions since Gods knows whens. We danceds the Mamushka while Nero fiddleds…we danced the Mamushka at Waterloos…wes danced the Mamushka for Jacks the Rippers. And now, Dears Readers- this Mamushka is for you”
We can dance (swim) if we want to
We can leave your friends because
Cause your friends don’t dance (swim) and if they don’t dance (swim)
Well they’re no friends of mine
Two hours in the car spelled an hour and a half of, “Are we there, yet?”
And with h each iteration Dad would grow more surly and sour, until the older ones of us would spy a landmark that was known to be part of the trip, then we could quiet down knowing that we were on known territory. And that Dad had not taken a wrong exit, again.
Man, I don’t understand y’all. You sit in a car, not have to do anything, sing songs, watch landscapes, space out, and there are no responsibilities or obligations so long as you are in transit. You can even sleep!
True odds are that since Selkie’s people live in freshwater and not saltwater and freshwater (river) sharks are found only in Asia and Australia, there will be no sharks to be found anyway. =)
Ahhhh, the energy of youth. Would that we could bottle it as an elixer for old age.
Many have tried!
“Now we are so happy, we do the Dance of Joy!”

“Dance of Joy”….. All I can think about now is Ginyu’s “Dance of Joy” from Dragon Ball – specifically the Dragon Ball Z Abridged version.
I wonder if Selkie would like DBZ or DBZA?

Maybe we’ll get lucky and all these stupid characters will get eaten by sharks
What crawled up your backside? If you don’t like the story and its characters that Dave has created for us; then don’t read it.
Odds are it’s the sharks getting eaten, in this comic.

This made me giggle with glee.
Gleeheehee!
