Ta Sai Tho is the patron deity of Clan Tel'Dora. Then is saying "leaves" because Ta Sai Tho takes the form of a coil of aquatic plants constantly moving against the currents.
My brain is saying it’s been established as distinct from the English word “then,” thus the “th” of “thin” instead. That would also make the most sense for worldbuilding. I have no idea if my brain is recalling it correctly or not.
The fact that Then pauses to greet Selkie properly assuages any fears I had about them being here for nefarious reasons.
However, Then’s glee in the bow’s being a full transmitter makes me think he is there for nefarious purposes; maybe use the bow to track down Selkie’s “war criminal” mother?
hu, guess then *is* alright, and was probably just a bit cranky with the neighbors cause he´s had up to the gills getting stared at everywhere….my guess for why he´s so exited, from what i vaguely recall they, as in the sarnothis working with the human government, have been trying to reverse-engeneer sarnothi tech for human use, and now they´ve got another thing to examine+play with.
Then is so happy here & cute here; it almost makes up for him trolling poor Shingi (seriously, that kid can never catch a break)
It is good to see that even with his mischievous tendencies that Then isn’t going full goof on Selkie right now (though once things have settled down I predict some serious goofiness from our Sarnothi agent here)
Is no one going to comment how Todd never actually got to the door to open it for the agents? I mean yeah theyre a couple of government spooks so good luck charging them with breaking and entering but they seriously just open the door themselves.
I think it was just to save page space/panels. If they could hear Todd through the door, they could easily speak loud enough for Todd to hear (and recognize) their voice & get the door. It also seems like the bow transmission went off by the door, so it’s less “going across the apartment” and more “quick camera angle change”
Admittedly there could have been a fun panel or two of Todd stumbling while turning around & getting to the door, but it would have probably slowed things down, and we’re about to get some serious story thrown our way (at least i think we are)
I don’t do this often but …
***FLAIL***
Now we have to wait til … MONDAY??
Wah!
Agent “Then ‘Til Later?”
Seems a bit “dragnet”. Or Avengers (the old one).
I have to ask about Sarnothi pronunciation.
Is Then pronounced /θɛn/ or /ðɛn/? And is the ‘th’ in Sarnothi the same?

Emitter, not transmitter. As in it does that full hologram thing, not just plays sound.
You’re right; I misread it.
Just like thick threw and thought, for both Then and Sarnothi
Is that some German influence I detect in the Sarnothi language?
*Tensei language
It does certainly seem like it; many words are spelled as if their origin were German, like “sein” and “tochte’fen”.
Whats the political afiliation of this Til’Raeda?
Hee, I just realized that the photo in panel 3 has Todd and Selkie giving each other rabbit ears. :3
Is that the only place you see it?
The reason I ask is because I’m seeing it in the ad-space for many of the webcomics I read. In fact right now, on the right it is there.
It’s actually been seen several times, it was the photo in which Andi saw Selkie for the first time.

I love it when you show us culture, Dave:)
At least he’s good with sarnothi kids.
I love that Selkie is so eager to use her Sarnothi greeting.

There’s no need for hurtful words Todd. 😀

Could you update the cast page one day?
Agreed.
While you’re at it, Dave: http://sueandkathryn.com/cast/
Some day, right?

Yep. I took the third panel to be Todd opening the door to let Brown in.
Well it could be todd did not lock it. In page 72 the door was open, So it could mean he does not lock it.
