Todd doesn’t know about Selkie’s other language yet since he hasn’t had a chance to read the care file in detail.
Also, for those that may have missed it, I had a bonus update on Saturday that had some information which may be of interest. Skip back a page and check it out!
Today's edition of the Secret Commentary is empty, because Dave failed to come up with something for it.
I’ve been waiting for this for so long.
😀
I wonder if there’s a translation dictionary in that file of hers… It would be amusing for her to walk in from school to see/hear him mangling the pronunciation.
Boooo. She gets a piggyback ride and has to wear the icky shoes anyways? Poor Selkie. Booo at people thinking shoes are a MUST at all times. But YAY for update! ^.^
It is a fact of life: No matter who you are, or what you do, you will never stand higher than Lillian Haversham-Zhang.
You, good sir and/or madam, have just crushed my entire life’s dream with that statement.
Oh, drivethruwhale, it is not about the size of heels. It is the immensity of her DIGNITY that makes her taller than everyone.
BAHAHAHAHA.
I DIED.
You have killed me, and I have died.
ARE YOU PROUD OF YOURSELF??? D:<
That’s ok. I’m short anyway. Tall people have this unprotected zone around mid-calf that’s so easy to sneak through! 😛
And, I like how the guys are playing keep-away and don’t really care so much. Coping mechinism?
Dave, you now realize that since you mentioned the language in the update you’ll be expected to actually write one up for all of us to enjoy and devote over to learn.
Do I sense impending disaster with red balls involved? That bloody thing is like Chekov’s gun at this point.
That was some great bonus content! Thanks:)
Omg, I’m officially a monstrously old man now. I’ve discovered grey hair in my beard. Maybe I should settle down and adopt like Todd. If Dave here could find me an Arctic creature like Selkie I’d be happy to adopt.
I doubt she’s arctic, since she finds even September uncomfortable.
I meant an artic cousin, like another off shoot of her species that does like the cold.
I started going gray before I was out of high school… though adopting one of Selkie’s cousins could be fun…
It would work perfect for me too since I love the cold. I’ve actually been tempted to draw up an adult ‘cousin’ of Selkie designed for winter weather. Maybe covered in tiny hairs like an otter or something.
I also thought it would be funny if it was one of Todd’s neighbors and you always see ice fog comming from under the door. lol
I love Selkie, thank you
Oh Todd. He’s the kind of guy who makes me smile when I see him and his kids in public. He really is a good guy. I love that Selkie is so unique and that everyone loves her for it. Makes me happy.
Argh, got so busy with work that I missed a few updates. Totally happy with what I got to read tonight, though. I agree with the general populace, I want to see this dictionary!
Serious Dad points for this one, no contest.
Yeah, I …third? I think it’s third… the request for the language dictionary. I’ve resisted starting my own version yet since I just read a thing about U.S. Copyright law and the Internet–but it’s a hard fight. 😀
This language is going to be epic. Dave is going to be the next Tolkien.
Last panel: “Viens la chercher, Moonsong” is the better french version.
