I wonder how generous the number needs to be for cloth production.
Although with access to human products, they’re no longer solely dependant on eel leather, I guess.
Maybe, but bear in mind that the vast majority of human products, especially fashion, are not designed with near-permanent immersion in water in mind.
Since smaller eels are safer and not as smart, i’m imagining the ranches being a bit more open to the public now.
maybe even split the school of eels into two groups? one group being ranched as normal, Prime Eels of the highest quality.

the Sarnothi can either purchase Premium Eel, or grab one of the free swimming ones that are potentially not as good quality.
