Todd and Andi need a bit of a smack here. they removed the girls from getting control practice, didn’t make a plan for anything before taunting the grandparents, and are shocked the immature 8 year olds screwed around.
This is as much on them as the girls… they’re not taking it seriously enough and the kids take their cue from them.
While what you’re saying is true, I’m pretty sure Todd and Andi won’t be able to see it that way unless one of the characters in the comic actually reminds them that they hadn’t been paragons of taking this seriously either
I dunno, it’s like, aren’t they like eight? By 3rd grade I was getting up on my own, making my own lunch, stopping at my friend’s house, walking to school, coming home..
I will give Selkie credit, she had the right idea even before they got busted. This was Amanda being a bad influence and I hope Selkie isn’t judge as harshly.
I mean, she already told Theo a version of what happened. She has to have told Todd at least that much–and even if she only told him the “official” story, he could read between the lines easily enough to figure out what actually happened.
Not that Selkie and Amanda with their optimistic kid logic would have thought that far ahead, of course. 😀
I’m gonna be honest, ‘cool parent’ is like ‘yeah this is too much homework’, not ‘cool about you deliberately using the set things on fire medical condition to set things on fire’. Even if its natural for kids to mess around, yanno?
I grew up in a house with a wood stove. If I ever tried to use the implements we used to start the fire to start a fire elsewhere while unsupervised, I woulda got in trouble.
Okay they both know. That’s a parent’s job
They just want you safe girls, they love you
Yeah… can understand why they’d hope that Todd would be kept out of the loop. But that isn’t his or Andi’s style.
One word, Selkie & Amanda: RUN.

Do you think mom told dad we shot lasers from our eyes and almost burned down the house? Naaaaaaah

Its VERY well written kid logic, honestly.
It’s almost as if Dave was a kid himself, once 😮
if id have gotten caught playing with fire.. the beating i would have gotten would have left m unable to sit for a week.
Just keep in mind, ‘tho it seems hard I know, Most parents were children long ago! Incredible!
