Depends on their ego, Amanda.

today is the 11th anniversary of the first Selkie strip. Can’t believe it’s been that long. Here’s to many more!
-EDIT- Todd and Pohl have un-exchanged shirts. Stop fooling around off-panel, boys.
↓ Transcript
TODD: I'm sure there's good reasons for how Sarnoth does it, but I can't say I agree with treating an EIGHT year old so severely.
POHL: Well, ideally, it won't even be an issue. I HAVE been trying to teach her responsibility, after all.
POHL: The main goal, on either tact, is teaching her to treat it safely.
TODD: That much, at least, I can support.
*DOOR-KNOCKING NOISES*
TODD: Ah, and that must be Amanda.
TODD: Good evening. You just missed a riveting socio-political conversation.
AMANDA: I'm allowed to laugh if someone got in trouble, right?

Imagine a grown-up Amanda in politics or law. "Your job is to argue. All day. Just, NOTHING but arguing."
Hears what grown-up Amanda is saying… “Seems legit”
“The main goal, on either TACK…”
It’s a reference to sailing. As in to change course by turning a boat’s head into and through the wind.
Although Selkie surely needs some tact, too…
I kinda like the verbal flub, `very ‘different culture’.
People also flub their own common expressions all the time. There are surprisingly many Anglophones who think “intents and purposes” are “intensive purposes” and “whetting one’s appetite” is “wetting”.
And don’t even get me started on “mute point!”
XD No Amanda. You can’t, goober.
Thank you so much for writing. I always look forward to your strips!
Todd just changed shirts with Pohl….
That can happen when two people are putting clothes back on in a great hurry. What exactly happened between panels 3 and 4?
How did we get Todd and Pohl having to change shirts…?
The entire scene of “I Don’t Dance” from High School Musical 2.
Congrats on the anniversary! It’s been a long and wild ride.
Aw, I missed the anniversary proper. I’ll add my congrats, though!
Though I’m not keeping up with this webcomic like I used to, let alone being as active in the comments, it’s still one of my top five when I recommend webcomics to newbies. Long may this tale resound!
