I always get the feeling that those two kids say ‘Aunt’ with some feeling to it. Like it’s an unexpected, but very welcome, perk of their new status.
They’re probably kind of getting used to it. At least Selkie.
Amanda didn’t meet her father’s family until around about Christmas. But Selkie got adopted in August, just before school started. Her birthday is May 24th and they just had her birthday within the past few days, so it’s either late May or early June right now. That’s 10 months. Probably used to having aunts and uncles and grandparents and great uncles (who own farms where you clean up pig poop).
She sure is fitting in quickly, that’s for sure. ^_^
