AMANDA: Hey...
[Dramatic pause. Intense staring.]
AMANDA: I... I wasn't trying to take anything from you. But I know why you feel like that. I'm sorry.
SELKIE: Hi, Sorry. I'm Sister.
AMANDA: You did NOT do that! I will END YOU!
SELKIE: Braver ands better than you have tried.

Almost drew Amanda throwing a cushion in the last panel but I chose to keep it simple. Don't want to give her something to be chastised for right now.
Absolutely adorable. Thanks for the comic!
Perfection.
And Selkie comes from behind and takes a surprising final quarter lead ahead of Amanda! It’s neck and neck and still anyone’s race folks, but this sibling rivalry is shaping up to be wholesome and chaotic, just the way Nana used to make it!
Selkie’s line is great because it accepts the apology, affirms their continued relationship (with positive connotations, rather than them being forced by fate to stick it out), and gets the mood back to sisterly camaraderie / annoyance, all in four words. Love it!
And Pohl is STILL standing in the kitchen eating his pilfered ice-cream. That’s so wrong…
I mean, come on… Chairs are much more comfortable than just STANDING!!!
As soon as Todd notices him, he may well decide it’s a good time for ice cream all around. 🙂
Nah, easier to escape when you’re standing, and also provides a better alibi: “I was just having a quick bite!”
(“Pohl, the carton was brand new. There are three scoops left in the bottom now. That was a big bite.”)
“…I have a big mouth.” *toothy grin*
Aaaaand they’re good. 😀
That’s that’s technically true, but I don’t think pants is braver and better only bigger and with bigger teeth. Also Dave can we get a compilation of all the times Selkie and Amanda were wholesome/sister like to one another?
These kids are adorable. Amanda has come such a long way. Selkie accepted the apology and is giving her another chance. I wish them both much happiness. Is it weird being proud of fictional kids?
