Aww, Todd was smart, and knew how to make the situation, and her attitude, better.
It warms my heart to see stuff like that, even if accidentally or instinctually.
=D
… as long as Selkie, in response, doesn’t become jealous because of tit.
Maybe I am misreading her, but while Selkie has some anger issues and sensitivity issues (thinking she is getting stared at) I cant recall her being the jealous type.
Now if Amanda tries to rub the attention is Selkie’s face then I can see her competitive nature come up and them butting heads.
Ever try nail wraps? They are made for those of us without patience. I have a few super cute Jamberries friends sold me on sale, and a couple other brands that are less $$$ (I believe Sally Hansen—found them in Walmart and Amazon). When I wore them regularly, I actually stopped nail biting.
Nothing against Todd, but this seems like the pretty standard response when a kid shows you something regardless. Doesn’t take being a parent to figure this one out.
Woooo hands!! They’re not bad either 🙂 best yet I’ve seen from you. Go Dave!!!
I love the thick/thin line shadow creation too ?your lines are getting a lot neater

I think Selkie also realizes that a happy for good reasons Amanda is a good thing for her. Amanda not pushing her around can only help Selkie out.
Aww. Super cute. I wish I had the patience to get that.

I might look into that. They sound cute. :3
I wonder how much of that is Todd being a wise parent that knows how to respond and how much is just being an inherently good parent that responded?
I think he’s being both. He’s inherently a good parent, and part of being a good parent is learning how to respond and being wise.

I thought the same thing. She’s obviously being shy/embarrassed about it.

Stars? I would have thought ponies. Or strawberries.

She said “Thanks.” And that’s a smile, there.
Big moment for her.
She’s doing half a Sarnothi greeting!
Did you see this? A henge in Lake Michigan! http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/Stonehenge-in-Lake-Michigan.html
Give some props to Andi, too, for bringing the subject to something Amanda was happy about.
I am so jealous of people who can get nail art. My nails are super peel-y and thus always too short for art.
