Occurs to me that I should probably do more backlinks for this stuff.
“You all lied about us and faked sick and stuff!”

Also, a fanart update! Danielle C sent me a drawing she calls The Little Selkie:
Thanks, Danielle!
And as a final note, March Madness is going really well. Thank you everyone for voting for Selkie. 😀
Have a great weekend, everyone.
Was gonna have Mike mention the bit about Truck to Tony, but decied to shift that dialogue to Giselle because the last page was already wordy enough. Original dialogue on this page was mostly just more taunting back-and-forth.
Ha!
That’s it, Selkie. Fight smart, not hard.
Though it is slightly cheating to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed person.
Good call. ^_^
Good sir, I will not apologize for blackening your honour, as you had none to begin with. I might, however, accept a duel, but as I am skilled with neither guns nor swords nor any other weapon, I would have to choose words, but, alas, such a contest would be woefully unfair, as I am afraid I would leave you quite outmatched.
Regarding that fanart:
“PARTS OFS THAT WOOOOOOOOORLDS!”
XD so sweet XD
Again, typical. Kids will always believe the “normal” one over the “weird” one, whether what he says is true or not.
Or in normality’s stead, they will side with the one less likely to hurt them or get them in more trouble (Selkie would probably get them in trouble, but would YOU want the be on the other end of Truck or his parents?)
I’m taking those pigtails home with me.
Hmm. Bloodlust? Or disgust?
😉
Back to reading for at least long enough to have caught up with the plot. But I’m glad I paused where I did, because the next couple of pages were NOT an improvement. In fact, the story’s still far from convincing me that it’s going to get better, but at least Amanda’s reaping what she sowed, now. Hoping Keisha doesn’t get burned too much – or better yet, that Heather find out the truth about her new “friends” and end up best friends with Keisha.
No, Giselle, that is very much not cheating. Selkie would most likely have stayed indoors anyway, since the last time she went outside she got taken to the hospital. It’s not cheating if she was already planning to anyway.
I love how skipping recess was so inconceivable that Giselle felt she could just brag about the plan to Selkie.
In my old elementary school we weren’t allowed to skip recess. Until I came in with a bloodied lip and two black eyes. Then I was allowed to stay in and play on the computers, unless there was a substitute that didn’t know what was going on.
Selkie to Truck: Giselle warned me about you going after me in recess so i stayed inside.
Truck : Grrrrr.
Giselle : Eeep!
Heh. It’s like how in movies with bad-guy computer hackers, no one ever thinks of the easiest solution: unplug the router.
