…. I’m now afraid of the suggestion of Sarnothi pron becoming a thing.
That being said… I keep an equally watchful eye on my son’s Internet usage… He is about 10 now himself and one thing I am not allowing until he is MUCH older is social media usage. I don’t want his compassion and innocence tainted by 4chan levels of cringe.
That’s the best decision. Young boys are very vulnerable right now to manipulative elements that try to actively encourage toxic life paths. Letting him develop without those influences is a good thing.
Also I hate to break this to you but… I’ve already had to have the “Don’t send me this shit” conversation. I’m mostly sure they were just trolling me though.
Young boys aren’t the only vulnerable ones “right now”, young-EVERYONE are vulnerable right now. Social media’s just the tip of the iceberg, but I could rant all day about hollywood and pop culture yada yada yada, and I like this comic too much for that kinda nonsense, so I’ll just say this.
NEXT PAGE WHEN? I wanna see what she’s gonna doooooo
Almost feels like a bunch of tiny little cults that you can stumble upon and get trapped into online. No one is safe from stuff that is designed to suck you in and cut you off from others.
This page is just giving me flashbacks to a health class in high school. We were learning about hernias and somehow got onto the topic of male only hernias (also somehow only had around 2-3 boys in the class with a female teacher). With the teacher’s permission, one of the female students went to look it up on google through a class laptop. I have never seen someone close a laptop lid so fast. I guess that google included real life pictures in the search, which, for some reason, no one expected.
Some of it can depend on the shape of the head. There are some apps out there that let you try on hairstyles now using a picture. If you are someone with not a lot of body to their hair (aka straight and fine), you might want to do layered hair or get a perm. You have a tendency to run the risk of looking like the old bowl cuts otherwise (in my opinion at least). I have some old family pictures (like 30s or 40s and then 60s/70s), and some of the hairstyles on the kids you just feel pitty for them because it literally looks like they used a bowl to cut their hair.
Some questions for Dave. First, how easy is it to plug Sarnothi ears? Would wearing something like a scarf to tie back hair or earmuffs block their hearing?
Also, what is their school’s policy on hats and scarfs in hair, etc.? I was thinking that using a scarf as a headband might look nice on Selkie, and possibly help with hiding some of the area until the hair grows back a bit more, since there is a good chunk that looks like it might essentially be buzz cut at best.
On a not questions to Dave note, I do wonder if this is a good reason to have their hair tied back during laser practice. Especially at Selkie’s length compared to Amanda’s, since it could easily go over her shoulder. Doesn’t mean that it would have completely prevented everything, but it also might have helped. I do wonder if there are hats that they can wear to protect their hair and head.
Oooh, Honkai: Star Rail sufferer handshake. And ugh, you’d think there’d be some some censor for kids.
wheeze

And it’s not just the “young” who are vulnerable right now. I’m in my 60s and I find some sites to be manipulative & toxic.

I’d suggest “Short Hair Isn’t That Ugly,” but people would take the acronym badly.

She’s pretty close to a Spiderverse Gwen Stacy do. She could try highlighting the tips on the long side?
OH SHIT YOU PLAY HOYO GAMES? I’m super into Genshin.
