Still not getting out of the grounding, miss.
I considered for a little bit having the bow glimmer as it was replaced on her head. But prior to this the bow hasn't reacted in any way when removed or touched, so that made no sense to me.
Still not getting out of the grounding, miss.
So, now we don’t know why she said “AAH, WHAT THE CRAPS”.
Because the bow spoke directly, after the transmission ended. It surprised her.
Awww. Well could be worse.
What else can she do?
She could look for hidden buttons in her hairbow, for example.
Or step away from the bow to see if it would reactivate.
I’m very glad Triceratops isn’t dead.
Also, are the site issues fixed? Had a lot of difficulty accessing the site.
I love how she corrects herself.
I love how unfazed Todd is about the whole incident;
“Magical laser light show in my living room? The headpiece my daughter has been wearing for months is really a holographic projector? Cool!”
“…”
“Who’s up for some TV?”
Mind you, this isn’t a criticism. I wish most other people (myself included) could react that rationally when thrown such a curve-ball.
P.S. I also find it heartwarming that Todd doesn’t even consider turning the bow over to the FBI , who would undoubtedly like to reverse-engineer it. (An advanced piece of technology like that would be priceless for the R&D division.) Yet he doesn’t even consider it, because not only is the bow the last memento Selkie has of her mother, but it may also be contributing to her safety. Selkie is one lucky girl to have such a father.
I’d like to think he’ll ask agent Brown or Pohl about it at some point rather than just taking the information at face value. Even if the fact that it protects Selkie could be taken at face value I’d want to know protect from what?
Dr. De’Madiea wouldn’t know about that, and Agent Brown would tell Todd that this information was classified for Selkie’s safety. So an indirect approach would be a bit more effective, probably. (Such as casually mentioning withinin Agent Brown’s hearing the bow would need to be washed, and this could be convently done while going to the movies, or whatever.)
It was from her mom, what kind of a creep would turn that over?
Throughout the message he learnt it was a holographic recording of her mom… and since it’s been playing in a loop like that, I don’t think he is not worrying about a thing, and as soon as he jumps into the rabbithole with Agent Brown, he’ll probably mention it.
OR, as Then said to Agent Brown… “make sure to ask about tonight” and the fact they detected some sort of “Resonance Pulses”… those probably being the Bowtie trying to detect where Selkie had gone, and had went “active” rather than “passive” like it had been previously.
it will be an interesting read to find out what Todd’s ANSWER will be to Agent Brown’s QUESTION though…
Holy crap, just finished reading from the start. This is a very cute and interesting story that has kept my attention through all the ‘limited resource’ headaches.
I’m interested to see what other functions this bow has. I’m assuming it is mostly a tracker. It very much piques the reader’s interest as to where the mom went.
Good parenting, Todd. Never be wishywashy with a punishment.
…were the heck do they have 9 o’clock news? O.o;
