I’m guessing that the “RRRRRR” sound is an alarm clock and the Leviathan is just something Selkie’s mind came up with t make sense of it within the dream.
Barbecue? Barbecue?! You’d seriously consider barbecuing a leviathan? Any idiot knows they’re far better pan-fried in a nice buttery garlic sauce, especially with breadcrumbs.
I’m guessing this is a dream memory. I wonder, is the Leviathan symbolic, or is it something used by the Sar’Teri?

Actually, it sounds like Crook is purring in her ear;

Also, cats are like hot water bottles – greats things to have around when you’re sick.
…KTKT?
Oh no, not the Leviathan! Please let it be anything but the Leviathan! Those things are just too much trouble to barbecue.

Hmmm … well, Selkie may be able to handle the garlic sauce, but the breadcrumbs are definitely out.
I’m with Mort- it’s way too easy to overcook leviathan on a barbecue. There’s a fine line between underdone and truck-tyre consistency.
I was thinking smoked, maybe some nature seasoning and a little bit of fire. PYROMANIAC,
For some reason all I can think about is this: http://www.dominic-deegan.com/view.php?date=2008-07-28. “Please do not kick the leviathan.”
I’m SO glad I wasn’t the only one who got that memory reference! 😀
I like her expression in panel two… somehow it looks very mature and emotionless in it’s simplicity. I can imagine what she’ll look like all grown up
See, I read this pre-coffee and misread it as ‘Drrr Drrr Drrr’… The Enigma of Amigara Fault, it’s back to haunt me! *runs*
I’m really enjoying your experimentation with art style right now. It reminds me of some kids picture books.
Leviathan, you say? It must be the nasty work of that Thomas Hobbes rogue. We must hurry, else all will succumb to the beliefs of sovereign reign.
I am both ashamed and delighted that I get this reference.
Leviathan translates as “coiled.” A gigantic sea creature. The latest Percy adventure shows it very well.
