Todd might not speak Tensei well, but he might understand enough to get that he is being insulted.
Ever since I read this post, 3 days ago, I’ve been trying to see where Todd is being insulted.
If the little kid had said – “He can’t speak my language? HE’S SO DUMB!” That would be insulting Todd. But he did not say HE’S SO DUMB. He said THAT’S SO DUMB.
I understand that completely. If, at the age of seven or eight, I met a foreigner that did not speak English I would think that was dumb, because everybody I knew spoke English. How could he not speak English? That’s dumb.
Not he’s dumb. That’s dumb.

Yeaaaaah… he knows Then, he DOESN’T mention Avery, and he came up years ago? I have a sneaking suspicion he’s part of The Program.
It’s quite possible that Avery is the more human facing side and Then is the Sarnothi facing side of that duo. The only reason Todd likely knows Then as much as he does is because of Selkie’s nature. If she wasn’t such a high potential echo I doubt Then would give Todd the time of day.

I like the colored version better.
Colored versions are typically more finished/polished, thus better. But I very much appreciate seeing the work-in-progress versions as well. As a fellow creator who writes a lot and dabbles in art as well, it’s comforting, encouraging, inspiring to see the steps used to get to the finished product.
