*First thought: I wonder if they’re going to be pointing at every human who shows up and asking “Is that the human echo?”*
*Second thought: Huh, they refer to it as music*
*Third thought: Our little human echo starts a rock band and implements Echo effects into the special effects and her singing.*
Rock on.
Similar things happen with my Spanish speaking relatives. Because I’m white and not fluent, they assume I don’t understand anything they’re saying but it’s just not the case. I pick up all sorts of interesting tidbits that way.
I’m Mexican (born and raised) but very fluent in US English. So about 20 years ago I took a trip to see my relatives in TN by bus. I didn’t like to speak to my family in English, and so most people assumed I didn’t speak English at all, and they said all the weirdest things because they thought I didn’t understand.
I liked to see their facial expression change when they realized I *was* able to understand. 🙂
Well, that secret didn’t last long.
