The doubled “so so” could be intentional, people are prone to talking like that when they’re excited. The misspelling of “like” can’t be, though, that’s the sort of mistake that only makes sense in writing and not in speech (how would you even pronounce that?).
Yeah, there’s a difference in cadence when commas get used. Sometimes the traditional English punctuation standards don’t represent the character of the speech in question.
I broke away from the traditional standard a while ago, and learned to break the “rules” for effect, and it really improved my writing. And I’ve definitely say there debating over commas before, deciding whether they fit the cadence I’m going for. MCU Peter Parker, for example — I commonly give him run-on sentences, showcasing him with an ADHD style.
You have a few typos in the first panel in Selkie’s speech. She says “So” twice (is that intentional?) and “like” is missing the i.

I agree, it can certainly be intentional. But if it is, there should be a comma between the SOs. I believe DeAxes called it – typos.
Hyperactive excited people do not use a lot of commas.

as a hyperactive person, I second this message.
Heh. In case we’d forgotten that these girls are nine…
As opposed to being younger or as opposed to being older?
Growing up is a process. You’re never really done with it.
Sparkles do not improve everything. They made vampires worse.
I swear Selkie is super neurospicy. Glitter confirms.
Definitely.
While I don’t disagree with your about the neurspicy, I’m not sure why glitter confirms it. The vast majority of 9-year-old girls love glitter.
Have read this since the beginning. Thank you for the great storytelling all these years. Your updates are always highlights of my week.
