Funnily, while patience is a virtue, sloth is a sin. Fine distinctions can be important.

(As an old saying goes: “one can only enjoy doing nothing when there is plenty to do”.)

Every virtue is surreounded by two vices – or however it was said by someone philosophical.

I can understand where her impatience comes from on more than one level. First thing is sure, she wants to hurry up and learn her laser magic. But at the same time she also likely doesn’t want to risk that thing happening to either her OR Amanda when they aren’t even trying to tap into it. Sure…. Amanda still has the barrette but at the same time I don’t think she wants to be tethered to that all her life.

Some situations simply are frustrating, even if everyone involved is acting reasonably and no-one is at fault.
