I can genuinely say, right here, this version of Selkie is scary. You PERFECTLY captured the body language of someone who is going to wreck some sh*t. She’s here to eat meatballs and kick arses.
And she’s all out of meatballs.
When I first saw her I was thinking that she looked like Wolverine. Leaning forward, ready to pounce. Arms out to the side, claws extended. I don’t know if that was Dave’s intention, but that’s sure what she looks like to me.

I presume you are referring to the previous strip, where someone says, “singing to the school, sir”.
This is a refugee ship. Has a crew of two. The captain is female. The crewman is male.
They have a cargo of refugees. No idea how many specifically, just several.
They also have an echo and an elder. These two may or may not be the same person. We don’t know yet.
The Elder is male, because that’s who the comment was made to – singing to the school sir.
Not to the captain of the ship. A member of the cargo.
