Is there a blade guard on that bandsaw?
In high school wood shop I learned to always lower the bladeguard as low as it can go, until there’s barely an eighth of an inch between your wood and the guard.
Now, I’ve seen about approx. two hundred plus video shots and pictures of people operating bandsaws and I can count on one hand the times I saw the guard being used properly. There are most likely lots of people who didn’t use the guard and now have one hand.
I wonder why no chatting. I would think that zoning out while doing it due to boredom would be worse, though I do know that some conversations require more mental power than others.
