Probably an all-or-nobody rule for the orphanage regarding invites like this. She should be grateful that the school itself doesn’t seem to have a rule like that or she’d have to deal with Truck.
Unless the school *does* have a rule like that and we just haven’t seen him yet.
Truck goes to her school, but it seems like Todd invited the kids from the orphanage where he adopted Selkie, hence Lilian’s presence. Maybe some of the kids from her class will be there, but this seems like an orphanage reunion from what we’re seeing here.
Every birthday party I’d swear next time I would only invite the nice kids.
Every year I’d rethink that when distributing the invites, because more kids= more presents!
Stray apostrophe also. Since she’s actually saying THAT MAKES SENSE the S on thats is just her normal extra S, not a possessive nor a contraction, so needs no apostrophe.
Love seeing the in-progress work; as a creator with aspirations to work on webcomics of some sort, these actually interest me more than the finished work! (See my name link there for the most I’ve done with comics so far, aside from the Christmas guest comic right here on Selkie.)
I would tend to assume that Dave is a bit like me in this regard: The switch from in-progress to finished page will likely catch most of the little typos, which means they needn’t be pointed out for in-progress pages. (Obviously, some typos slip through to the main comic, but not that often.) If I were behind on an update, making the text perfect would come after a lot of other broad details about the page.
I felt guilty for years after something unnecessarily rude I said in the school. Although, I was maybe 11 at the time, so a bit more mature than these kids. But there were also no screeming nor severe health issues caused by that.
She and Keisha are fellow shippers. That makes them friends. And while the trio – Amanda, Heather, and Keisha – were all enemies when she lived at the orphanage, now that she and most of them have been sprung and are living on the outside, she seems to have become friends with all three of the girls.
I was gonna ask why the rude kid was invited lol

Wasn’t Truck going through therapy to get over the worst of his attitude?
I believe so, but it also wasn’t very long ago (in story) that Selkie basically told him that she wouldn’t be his friend.

Stray semicolon in Selkie’s chat bubble in the third frame?
Also, don’t stress about running behind on the comic. Life takes precedence and we know you have the new work thing going on!

I wonder if Tony still feels guilty over the snowball incident. And aw, no Moonsong, their love will never be stated.
This is late May, at least two and possibly 3 months after the snowball incident. No kid is going to feel guilty that long.

So she forgives Keisha but not Tony?

Tony, on the other hand, is Tony.
Dexter.
Mandark.
