I did not expect the vaping slam on the last page to go off in the comments like it did. Honestly? I just hate the smell of them, and felt like taking a small jab. They smell like fake-ness. All I can smell is artificial agents. Same reason I dislike perfumes and colognes. They all just smell like "processed stuff.", underneath the intended smells. Oh, and Red Hots too. All they taste like is fake-y flavoring agents. That's not how cinnamon tastes, every candy maker ever.
…Todd has a two bedroom apartment.
Yeah, but if you’re looking for more space, if you can manage to afford it, it’s better to get a house than an apartment. My dad’s opinion on renting was that it was throwing away money to something you’ll never own, and while necessary for a lot of people, myself for a while included, it’s best to try to go for something that will be yours someday. So if Andi’s already looking to move, why not aim for house instead of apartment?
Only time you should rent is if you are not able to stay in a single place for atleast 5 years. If you anticipate needing to move in a shorter time its better to rent, otherwise buy. 5 years is the time that it is expected that you will begin to see a return on your mortgage so you are not underwater and make some money back from the sale due to the market.
Not to mention that many mortgage payments are cheaper than the rental payments for an equivalent place. Like, MUCH cheaper.
Unfortunately, lots of us have horrible credit we can’t improve, because of debt we can’t pay back, and minimum wage jobs that barely covers our apartment living expenses. I consider myself lucky my tiny, used-to-be-a-storage-closet 420sqft “studio” apartment with no stove or oven only costs me $400 a month.
A house? By myself? That’s only a dream for me and most others in this country.
I feel that…I got lucky, my sibling and his wife were moving in with my mother into a massive house, and technically the house they lived it was owned by my sister-in-law’s parents. They just wanted to get the house sold easy and offered it to me at a slightly above what they paid price so they can profit, but it was still something I could afford. Not many can get that lucky… 🙁
Mmm. Red Hots.
Looks like you missed a detail in Andi’s hair. I like it this way though
I’m glad that you are showing how Andi may have dropped the ball in the very beginning, but now that she has stepped up the the plate to be mom she is totally serious about it. At the start, she was finding and reclaiming Amanda out of guilt, but now having started getting to know her, she is doing it truly for her.
She may have “dropped the ball” or maybe (the way I see it) had someone on her Own Team knock the ball out of her hands. I understand why The McClelland did what she did. And if Andi ever forgives The McClelland, I will scream “Bloody Murder, Murder most Foul,” from the roof of my garage.
I still think her mistake was just lying to Todd, not the adoption. From what I remember Andi’s mom only pressured her into the later but wasn’t there for the lie.
I would agree. It took me a while to warm up to Andi – but she is trying to be a good parent – for Amanda’s sake. That counts for a lot.
