I don’t know why some little kids are fascinated with wallets, but His Royal And Amazing Majesty Sir Mark is among their number.
(if you can’t read the tiny teensy text for the itsy people in the background, I have provided a transcript for ease of reading.)

Yeah, I can see by his face that he is totally charmed by all these children … but, see, he gets to leave and doesn’t have to deal with all of them … it’s dealing with them all the time that drives you mad!!!! Mad, I tell you, MAD!!!!
Yeah, my kittens are getting to that stage … into EVERYTHING …
Interesting >_>
Pets are not compareable to children.
@Sandpunk – yeah, I know … you can’t just put children into a cage/box/carrier/den/etc. if they are misbehaving, or if you want to go out for an evening and don’t want the house trashed when you get home. It’s why I prefer pets. In many other ways pets are superior to children, also. They tend to be cleaner, quieter and overall much less obnoxious … 😉 Not to mention much more grateful toward you for having taken the time to care for them. Yep, overall I much prefer my decision to have pets rather than children. I know it has done me a world a good – people regularly guess my age at a good decade less than it really is, even with all the health problems I have. Plus I manage to maintain a great sense of humor and don’t make snippy comments at people – usually. Then again, sometimes I get into these … moods … it’s my bipolar syndrome, you see – my manic cycles manifest as irritability … not good … OK, gotta go!
I think you’re right about kids being harder to deal with pets. But I’m too stupid for my own good and hope someday to have both pets and kids. *nodding* It would be a lot of fun, and very hard. ^_^
“harder than pets” yes, sorry about my lack of keyboard skills.
My 5yo is grumbly about the fact that while SHE has to have a sitter when I leave, the cat does not. “It’s not fair.” I hear that about a lot of things, actually.
*laughing* I love this. I know how he feels though. They’re all vying for your attention and it’s so hard to try to pay attention sometimes. But I like it. I feel we’re getting somewhere with that “stare across the room” thing. I can’t wait to see what’s coming up!
My son (2 yrs) learned the phrase “I love” recently, and one of the first intentional uses of it was “I Love Wallets!” Mostly I think because of all the varied things in them, and secondarily because they make a big mess when you dump them out.
I have both kids and pets, I think it would be a far less fulfilling existance without them. 😉
