I bet you'll never guess which panel backgrounds in this strip I like best.
I had to ask my mother the difference between chicken soup and chicken broth to make sure I used the right wording. Apparently broth is the second easiest thing in the world to to cook if you count boiling water as the first.
Gonna take a pass on the smudgey backgrounds for now. Might change my mind later, not sure yet. -EDIT- Woke up and changed my mind. Less smudgey more… I dunno, marble-y?

I considered doing a close-up of Selkie's open gills, but it's not really necessary to see her gooey irritated membranes when I could use the panel space for story-pertinent stuff.

For the hospital panel I thought, "It's a single splash panel, I'll work it out quick and fast then worry about the rest of the strip." Quick and Fast turned out to be a majority of the production time. XD
I had a few issues when I was younger of getting befriended by kids who just wanted to manipulate me or case my house out for stuff to steal. It suuuuuuuuucked.
If I can stick to the script the bathroom scene should be over after Friday’s strip. After that it jumps to the hospital. I don’t remember what exactly, but I think something was going down there?
The last few strips have used greyscale watercolor washes overlaid on top of the standard flat colors, to add a little more texture.
