Damn Todd, you be super reasonable. No, honestly, if more parents were like Todd we’d have a better society. I’m glad to see he can admit when he had a hand in the chaos.
Well, this was only a matter of time; they’ve already seen the full destructive potential with Amanda, and they knew Selkie would get over the blocks eventually.
Fireproof paint won’t do it – it’s too thin to stop the heat transfer into the wall, and paint won’t hold when you burn the wood or plasterboard out from under it. (The gypsum that makes up most of plasterboard absorbs lots of heat in a chemical reaction – but it breaks down into steam and powder in the process.)
Could they get a used space shuttle insulating tile to hang on the wall? If not, glue up several layers of plasterboard on a steel plate base.
Heat Beam Laser Eyes confirmed.
You know what they say Todd.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
If I remember the last time she blasted something correctly, they’re lucky it’s just scorched wallpaper. Hell, they’re lucky they still HAVE a wall.
Wasn’t that Amanda who did that? Or am I misremembering?
Amanda blew a hole in the wall. Selkie blew a hole in the device designed to measure eye lasers.
Time for some fire safety lessons 😤
Specifically, for a fire extinguisher in her room, and drill instruction on how to use it properly.

I wonder if you can ask Agent Brown for a target for Selkie to use, and to cover that burn
Or at least, like, a steel plate or something that can absorb the heat better than wallpaper. Maybe a block of ballistic gel?
They do make fireproof paint, but it’s much more expensive than regular paint. Think it’s like…4x the price? I think it could work though.

Sadly, Todd, it’s on you lol.
