Anyone else think it’d be hilarious if Todd were contracted to make a government building due to his security clearance? The confusion of management would be hilarious.

I don’t know why, but watching everyone interact in good-natured ribbing and with threats that aren’t actually serious is really wholesome. I like that all these very dramatic kids are being dramatic without it being life or death!
Well the big question has always been “Can Sarnothi and Humans get along, being so “different”?” The answer is clearly yes.

Good thing she used her right. If she had used her left elbow, instead of putting it in his ribs she would have put it in his gills. I read one time that that’s how dolphins fight sharks. They ram their nice hard noses into the sharks’ gills. Destroying the gills, and in the process seriously damaging the sharks.
I’m pretty sure that would hurt like hell, but I don’t know if it would do enough damage to kill them. Can’t Sarnothi breathe through both their nose and their gills as they choose?
I mean, humans can breathe through both nose and mouth, but it’s still bad news if your nose is broken or messed up in some way. Not deadly, but it’s a sensitive area.
I imagine that getting punched in the gills for a Sarnothi would be painful and potentially damaging on a level roughly equivalent to a human male getting hit in the testicles. That is, it’s the kind of blow that immediately and decisively moves an altercation out of the “friendly scuffle” category; it’s something that is Not Done to people inside one’s social circle.
But considering that Amanda has been in fights with Selkie I think she probably knows that is Not Ok by now.
I wanted to say I’m surprised – and kinda glad and kinda sad – to see Selkie progressing so much in her plurals. I’ll miss the extra s’s – but it’s also a huge sign of her growing up. Being a childless snark-factory myself, I can only imaging that it would kinda be like a kid giving up on a favorite nickname for something after they learn to say the actual word. You’re glad they’re learning and growing but miss the cuteness of what was wrong.
