I’m hoping to continue comicking in dowmtime over the week but if updates this week are spotty, it’s because I’m currently 1200 miles away from home taking the opportunity to give my nephew some new bad habits to annoy my brother with.
I am THAT uncle
Good luck 🙂
Speaking of Selkies, today’s Ask Lovecraft

That mixing inhuman with approachable was actually one of my main thoughts when designing sarnothi initially. Clearly not human, but with elements of approachability. Good video.
Thank you for introducing me to this series. This guy is delightful and unpredictable while being dapper as heck (even if his nose occasionally wigs me out… though I think that adds to the unsettling nature of the series).
Wonder how he’ll react when he finds out glowing is all she can do, will it still be enough “echoness” for his adoration?
Im guessing not. I think Mandy is gonna put Tehk on the hook for teaching all about what a kids view of Echos is, and Selkie better rise to the occasion, or lose all that reflected glory.
I’m guessing it going to be “Carrie” in the cafeteria all over again. Only with slightly less blood.
Man. Too bad Selkie can’t harmlessly shock him to leave her alone. Or however that might work.
Wait if she could he’d probably like it.
Oh dear, I think they’re working together.
Everyone needs to have one of *those* uncles, my daughter has four and only one is actually related to her.
Dear Dave,
Giving your nephew ammunition that will aggravate your brother is a time honored and respected pass-time. I’m all teary eyed that you are being such a supportive family member.
Believe me, your nephew will remember you fondly in your old age, and treat you with respect– for the help you are giving him now.
When my nephew was about 2-3, I gave him a recorder as a gift. My sister still hasn’t forgiven me 😉
Well there’s your problem. You’re supposed to do that with your brother’s children, not your sister’s =P (j/k)
Well, that would be your problem. You’re supposed to do that sort of thing with your brother’s kids, not your sister’s. =P (j/k)
A wiser answer would have been “Not goings to do thats agains.”
Saying “Not supposeds to” implies “I want to but grownups won’t let me.” Which is true, and in character, and leads to more story, so I’m not criticizing — just noticing that right here, on this page, one word makes a big difference.
Exactly why I chose that phrasing. 😉
A wiser answer, yes. Not a Selkie answer.
Her strength is her audacity, not her caution.
Wow, everybody guessed right.
Amanda. You physically cannot glow. Give it up.
I’m honestly kind of looking forward to how she deals with this. Here’s something that Selkie has but she will never, ever possess herself. I won’t deny just a bit of spiteful satisfaction.
Funny thing about kids.
*YOU* getting in trouble just doesn’t rate very high on their priorities. Never has, never will. 😛
One of my best friends’ son is turning two soon. Thanks for reminding me of the direction I should be thinking about his present >:D
