Yeah, Selkie is more likely a fancy red lightsaber than a light blue one… though green is the obvious choice, which i think is neutral… never been sure what the colors are supposed to mean.
In the old republic the lightsaber color showed the jedi’s specialization – blue for guardians, green for consulars, yellow for sentinels. It wasn’t strictly enforced though, more like tradition.
Colors don’t really mean much beyond a small few. Red, evil. Black with a yellow core, you pre-ordered KOTOR. Otherwise, it’s really whatever color crystal the Jedi found when questing to build theirs.
I like how Amanda has recovered so quickly here, she is building up some resilience. I can see her some time in the future being faced with something scary or watching a scary movie and being all “Pfft, please try harder, my Sister is scarier than that!”
the “don’t explain the joke” rule is definitely suspended when it’s something a character is doing, and then that becomes the joke. That entire exchange was totally believable.
Peace is a lie. There is only Passion.
Through Passion I gain Strength.
Through Strength I gain Power.
Through Power I gain Victory.
Through Victory my chains are Broken.
The Force shall free me.
Selkie, like all children, has that cheerful sociopathy that comes from not yet getting that other people have feelings. She doesn’t have the self control to be anything but a sith. (Though she lacks actual hardcore MALICE…usually)
Mostly, I’d say she doesn’t have the context to get the global implications of the conflict. To her, it’s one set of guys with lightsabers fighting another set of guys with lightsabers, with no real association with what for example ‘blowing up a planet’ really means.
it would be a scary day, selkie becoming a sith…xD
Doctor Terrorhammer, Mad Scientist, Sith Lord …
Beat me to it.
I’s with Sparkles here.
Dun dun dun dun duh-DUN dun duh-DUN…
… Amanda is not wholly wrong here. As Selkie immediately demonstrates. 🙂
Selkie the Sith has a nice ring to it… XD
(Snort) Darth Selkie!
I far, far prefer that to Selkie-Selkie Binks.

Don’t forget purple, Samuel L. Jackson. 😉
Forget Samuel Jackson… At your Peril!!

Here’s a chart. So far, everything I’ve found roughly agrees with it.
XD Well at least both can agree to that.
Grey Jedi are a thing too.
Yes, Grey Jedi are a thing, but you know perfectly well Selkie wouldn’t be one.
What about periwinkle Jedi? Although on my device Selkie is more of a lilac.
Can anyone perform a mind trick to make me forget the bad joke in the transcript?
There was no bad joke… *waves hand ominously*
Maybe it’s your mind that’s playing the trick on you. I don’t see any bad joke.
i agree with ai_vin, if you think the Jedi are good: http://www.rhjunior.com/goblin-hollow-0249/ that page and the next one as well.
It’s the “Glee hee hee” that sold it and resulted in the laughing of out loud.
Thank you.

yessss

How sure are we that Selkie CAN’T throw lightning-fingers? Maybe that will be part of her Echo powers.
We’ve already seen fire fingers, *underwater* mind you, so lightning’s not out of the question here.

Re-reading through again.
Considering what we’ll eventually learn about “Echos”
“Jedi” isn’t actually that far off-point.
Nice foreshadowing.
