This is the next-to-last installment for the current chapter. FINALLY!
…What? I know some of you have to be thinking it too. 😉
I must also give a bit of a retraction, and I apologize for doing this so close to the event. Due to some changes on my end of things (nothing serious, nobody is hurt), I will NOT be attending Anime Central as I mentioned previously. I am sorry to anyone who was hoping to catch me and say hello. Hopefully another time I can manage it.
The next strip on Monday will end the current chapter, and from there I have a few short-stories/mini-arcs to tell before we get into the next major piece, Chapter 3 (you’ll get to see me write concisely for once! XD). A small hint of what lays ahead; Chapter 3 is the Back-to-School chapter. 😀
Yay! You so make it worthwhile to stay up late. I just had to check and see if the new strip was up before I could go to sleep. 🙂
We FINALLY get to find out what happened with Andi!!!!
…I hope
Yay can’t wait for the back to school chapter! 😀
Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! I can’t wait for more 🙂
Maybe it’s my recent divorce showing but I’m wondering what is wrong with Todd’s parents that they’re urging him to get back in touch with an ex who is attempting to invasively re-insert herself into a life that’s probably barely been staple-gunned back together after she was done with it.
Man that has to be the most complicated sentenced I have read in … I don’t know, a while. I don’t think there is something wrong with the parents though. This is what happens when you have absolutly no clue about what happened : you give bad advice. That being said, if Todd hasn’t told his parents the truth, that probably means he has stuff to tell his ex before he can go on. Now if it was all the ex’s fault and the parents knew it, then it would be pretty creepy ^^
I’ll have to re-read to verify my impression but I suspect he didn’t tell his parents anything at all about this person.
I took their response to mean that he shouldn’t ignore calls from anyone (especially someone he knows). I think, in their minds, you either talk or agree not to talk. I would be very surpised if they don’t acknowledge there are times when the courts should be involved. I got the impression that they just thought him rude because he just simply let the phone ring.
Just so long as we get Selkie waking up the next morning and realizing that yesterday was real and she now has a home and a family.
I hate it that you only update twice a week! The suspense is killing me!
At least it isn’t weekly. My ADD doesn’t handle weekly updates well.
Good luck making it to ACEN next year. 🙁
Ya I hope so too.
Ooh, back-to-school!! Can’t back to see that.
-watches Todd’s phone- He’s going to call Andi, I just know it.
I didn’t realize we were chaptering here… 😛
Very loosely so. 😀
Yaaaayyyy! Back-to-School chapter! After mini-arcs!!! Yaaaaaay!!! Epic!
Dave; regarding the issue with the alt-text not staying up very long; Another comic has done something that might help. On “Edmond Finney’s Quest to Find the Meaning of Life”, there is alt-text – but it not only pops up by the cursor, but also in a larger text thing that will stay until you move the cursor off the comic. Oh. I see it’s on your links … so you probably already know about it.
I do read and enjoy Edmund Finney, but I am not a fan of how his mouseover image obscures the comic panels, or part of them at any rate. I find it kind of distracting. I’ve gotten in the habit of zipping my mouse away from the main comic really fast. XD
You might want to check out Zach Weiner’s Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal – every comic for the last several years has had a miniature “bonus comic” that appears when you hover over a red dot just below the comic. You could use a similar strategy if you’re concerned about alt-text reading.
Hmmm … yeah. Come to think of it, I do that too. But then on both my home computer and the main one on my work place it’s not a problem because the resoltion is set pretty high, plenty of space on either side. My laptop, not so much.
Dang it! There MUST be a solution!!! Call JPL! Call the Batcave!! Call Microsoft!!! … no, wait … don’t call THEM …
Fun true story about Microsoft! I once called them for tech support, and they informed me the first tech support call is free. After the first free call, tech support calls cost $60 each.
Next comic will unveil more stuff about Todd, and after that we get to see a happy/bouncy selkie and see what day-to-day life might start to be like.
Not that first-day will be normal… she’ll probably be way too juiced for that… but, ya know, I’m sure they’ll be making a schedule and trying to get into the swing of things… I look forward to that (like the food-thing between them, friends, etc.)
If Selkie was willing to ask Todd if he’s “full of craps,” it makes me wonder what her reaction to meeting Andi will be.
For those of you who like to post links and are not familiar with HTML, here’s a quick class for you. Links are written as [a href=”http://www.website.com”]. Replace the [] with the greater/lesser than symbols as seen below. If you want to replace the website address with words as I have, then after the ] type the words you want. You end the link with [/a]. this will end the HREF command. The full thing should look like this:
[a href=”http://www.website.com”]LINK[/a] or
[a href=”http://www.website.com” target=”_blank”]LINK[/a]
The second one will open the link in a new window. Remember replace the brackets (also used for BBS commands) with the greater than/less than symbols as seen below next to the “Post Comment” button.
In honor of Selkie starting up school again, and to make up for the fact that I haven’t commented the last few weeks, I shall serenade you with a small back-to-school song:
Back to school, back to school
To prove to dad that I’m not a fool!
Got my lunch packed up
My boots tied tight
I hope I don’t get in a fight!
Back to school!
Lol, OK, that’s done :). Oh come on, I was NOT the only one thinking that.
Anyway, yay, almost the end of the chapter! It seems like only yesterday that Selkie came home, even though it was…*peeks at the archive* almost 7 months ago. Selkie’s had a wild ride! See you Monday!
Poor Selkie. Starting school again now that most of us have finished finals…
