Finding out that she’s spent years of rejection in the orphanage after years of abuse is going to make it harder to forgive Andi’s deception.
It’s more likely if he thinks it’s Andi at all he thinks it’s copycat behavior, which would belong down the hall in the “Cray Cray Stalker Ex Department”. No one wants to go there.
Yeah, I seriously doubt the idea that Amanda could be his presumed dead daughter and that Andi has reclaimed her even came close to crossing his mind.
It’s much more likely that he thought Selkie’s description matched Andi’s, but dissmissed the possibility because there’s “no way” Andi would adopt a child.
