Week’s gone a little borky, but I don’t want to do two-update-weeks twice in a row, so come back Saturday for Strip 3.
Today's edition of the Secret Commentary is empty, because Dave failed to come up with something for it.

No problem, also Uncle Steve giving an Eggman-style joke from Sonic X lmao XD
Shriek at him and tell him he needs to leave. He’s probably never heard her do that, and it might run him off.
Spitting at him might be a little bit overkill.
Energy degraded into quark/gluon plasma that turned into hydrogen and some helium.
The dust turned into people by ANNIHILATING mass.
He could also just as the question through the door, or call/text her.
I bet he’s there specifically because Marta texted him and asked him to pop up as a way to mess with the girls.
I know an evil thing Selkie could do if he tries anything. No I’m not talking fire eyes!
I’m talking the acid spit.
Hope you’re not pushing yourself too hard on our account, Dave.
There’s a book called “Simple Rules” that explains some key principles about using heuristics to make it easier for human brains to do things efficiently without as much mental effort as they typically would. But one principle it taught me — from an example more than actually what the book is about — is what I call “Dragonfly Days.”
Dragonflies migrate south once the weather turns cold two days in a row. But if the wind is over a certain speed, they will just bunker down and wait until it’s safe for them to fly.
It’s a principle I’ve adopted to help contextualize those days when I feel unproductive due to outside circumstances — like, XYZ happened, so I didn’t have the extra energy to do JKL that I was planning on, so now I feel like a failure for not making good on my intentions.
And even setting aside my ADHD (which makes intention-based productivity iffy to begin with), there are many reasons one might find their goals set aside for a while in service to an unusual circumstance. Hence, a Dragonfly Day is a day when something else takes precedence and keeps you from your normal productivity/goals. Which is okay, and not something to be excessively worried about. Winds are gonna blow, and we adapt.
At least, that’s how I’ve been making use of the principle lately.
That’s a beautiful concept, honestly. Thank you.
I’m okay, just having some task juggling issues lately. Working on it
the couple that trolls together…
Yessss, my thoughts from before that Marta might have planned shenanigans to make sure the girls have fun today, too, may be coming to fruition. She’s definitely the type for both the shenanigans and to want to make sure her nieces have fun, too.
He DOES seem like the type to see a pair of adorably serious guards… and test their resolve. ^_^
