Hank and Cindy Worth are a married couple (workplace romance, d’aaawww) who are primary caretakers for the orphanage’s infants and newborns. The promise of helping with the infants PLUS getting to watch an adoption take place seems to have motivated Sandy to superhuman levels of speed.
Although it could also be a sugar high, hard to tell with that girl.
Today's edition of the Secret Commentary is empty, because Dave failed to come up with something for it.
I’m going to communicate that way with my friends from now on.
“Eeeee?” — “Yeah, I know what you mean. How’s the job hunt going?” — “Eeee…” — “Sorry to hear that. But chin up. You’ll find a job eventually. I believe in you.” — “Eee. :)”
i just realised sandy has heterochromia.
Yep!
Geez! I completely missed that!
So that’s what its called. I know a kid like that always running around. And also happy.
Wow, georgie’s really got his frowny pants on tight, doesn’t he. Methinks an explosion is emminent…
Hee hee! That is a hilarious description!
Not only that but check out his expression when Sandy runs off! He’s actually holding his shirt down! 🙂
I can see Georgie getting annoyed but then Selkie will give him a big hug and say he’s her best friend and they’ll still see each other. And for some reason my mind has her kiss him on the cheek to leave him flustered and embarressed.
Sugar high? Pssshh. Sandy makes her own energy – only the pure stuff here – probably from sunlight which she stores unsuspected until occasions such as this.
Not only does she have her own energy source she could probably power a windfarm with how quickly she runs!
Just call her Miss Perpetual Motion lol, except eventually the vacuum of sleep takes over…
I love Georgie in panel 5, he really didn’t want his shirt to fly up! He wants to have his good-bye moment with Selkie but all the other kids keep popping in.
I want to hug your comic. I love it! …Is Selkie some type of mermaid? She’s weirdly adorable.
I’m pretty sure she’s a selkie… Which do tend to be very pretty.

I loved her different colored eyes! And I can explain her hyper-activity. It actually has to do with the amount of people around her, multiplied by their excitement, set to the power of awesome on a scale of 1 – 10 of the situtation and all set in a delicate framework that converts this energy into glucose which powers her system. It’s a very natural process. Most people have this, except they also have inhibitors which doesn’t allow them to make such high-pitched sounds as, “Eeeee!” and run at those speeds. That girl does not have such inhibitors. And Wu is adorable. Poor Georgie! And lucky Selkie. She’s finally getting out. *waving a banner* GOOD LUCK SELKIE!!! LOVE AND MISS YOU!!!
……… I realise the “s” thing in her speech is a byproduct of being her, but in that last panel…. it just seems cruel
Bad Selkie. No fishies.
To begin; I’m a fan of a great many webcomics. I read over a dozen, daily; and given the posting dates, are obviously a fan of a great many more.
That said. Your comic is now my favorite. I find it charming, funny, heart-wrenching, and utterly enchanting. I truly cannot wait for the day that you have the funding, and time, to do this five days a week.
Thank you and good luck. I will be spreading this around to all of my friends.
Thank you so much. ^^
On Wu’s shirt: Nom without om? disgraceful (for him).
Then again, maybe it says om on the other side?
Georgie seems unsettled o.o he been here longer than selkie or just gonna miss her and mad that he can’t get a word alone?
Also WTB Wallpaper of the “EEEEEE!!!!”
roflmao, i read this entire comic in a sitting (not really impressive but still) and this is gonna be good! also, mutters nice horde symbol! FTH!
For an eight year old, she sure talks like a really little kid, what with all the s at the end of words.
I spent couple of minutes at your site and i’m very impressed, very good articles
Regards

Sound effect in panel 6: VROOOM!
Oops, I meant panel 5.
heh, i dunno why, but wu reminds me of myself when younger. despite being a boy.
when I was little, my dad spent his spare time convincing me I was adopted, telling me he and my mom picked me up from a garbage can.
I’m chinese. you can’t blame me for believing them at the time.
