Robert is the current reigning champion of incomprehensible accents.
-EDIT- Gang I’m sorry, but I’ve screwed up and the Friday comic this week will be on Saturday. I am out of town until Friday evening. I have it inked and ready to color, but an hour down the highway I realized I forgot to transfer the files to my laptop so I could finish coloring them. So, Check in Saturday for the third comic this week.
Giselle is turning out to be a bit more malicious than I thought she'd be the first time I drew her. I love drawing her, though. :D

I feel like a nerd for noticing this, but in panel 6, Robert looks like Spock. XD
Hehe…Yeah he does!
awesome comic as allways too!
Awesome comic goes without saying. XD At least with me…
Oh my gosh
SO MUCH
Well Amanda and Tony just screwed themselves over. Kinda hard to be a bully when you have no allies or immunity. I’m sure it’s POSSIBLE…but that takes a lot of work.
Yeah go ahead kids, dig the hole deeper why don’t ya?
*sigh* Remember when the Selkie comic actually had Selkie in it?
Selkie’s probably under a heat lamp or something along those lines and can’t talk yet. Give her a bit of time. 😉
All I can say bout this conversation is:
“I see, a bad moon a-risen. I see, trouble on the way.”
I doubt the two skipped updates help that feeling either. She’ll be back soon, though, I try not to dip away from her for too long.
I’m going to go ahead and guess Robert is Hmong-American, because I could understand him. I had to look again to see the accent.
I interpreted it as being a Cockney or similar British accent (no ‘h’ in ‘how’, ‘h’ added to ‘if’), except that a speaker of such a dialect would not have the ‘ah’ vowel in the word ‘back’.
(That said, my only “knowledge” of this issue comes from books and TV.)
It sounds slightly Scottish in my head.
This….
this is WHY teachers usually separate kids.
exactly
With all the anxious energy and hatred, I find it unusual that they’re wearing their gloves still. Any reason for it, Dave?
They just came inside, haven’t had a chance to layer down yet. Also, I figure Coach is more thinking about keeping the guilty party contained and reporting the situation right now.
Exactly how far away is Sal? They’re seem to be talking loud enough for anyone in the room to know they’re plotting something.
It’s kinda hard to show whispers in writing form, so they could be talking quietly. That said, if he can over-hear them, he’ll probably stay quiet to get as much info as possible out of them before they realize he can hear.
*groan*
Little kids can be such jerks. >_<
Yeah, that weird ugly one kicks me where it hurts for no reason. Just because I was holding her off the ground and refused to let her go, she totally over acted. All her fault!
Had my fair share of bullies like that , never able to own up to their own actions.
Is it normal for me to want to punt a group of small children over a fence? O.e
This is why schools need to bug the lunch room.
Okay, Chanelle is still not seen. Dave declared her “just off-panel” to pages ago, but with all the empty space around the table in today’s first and last panel hard to believe. Then again, knowing that she’s friends with Kiesha and got invited to a fair fight before Tony randomly recruited more kids, it makes sense to me, that she dropped out of the fight somewhere between the time Kiesha and Heather switched sides and the time the orphans fled. Unless there’s another good explanation for her still being off-panel, I stick to this one.
I think I’ve let the “mystery” go on long enough. It’s really more of a “plot hole” anyway. XD
My intent was that Chanelle, as Heather and Keisha’s friend, evaded blame and punishment along with the orphans. I wanted to focus on the orphan crew for these last couple strips, but I am feeling I downplayed Chanelle a bit too much.
When I am not behind on strips I may edit her into the crowd shots.
Hey you did it: I just reread the arc and had a ‘wait she wasn’t in this panel before’-moment on Page 309. Found three more crowd shots where she’s in now on 309 + 316.
Also realized, that she participated in the creation of the dog-pile before she switched sides: She’s not the innocent girl I thought she was.
So their plan is to talk in ellipses like Cloud Strife?
