From the shadows, she strikes.
So, here’s some final thoughts on the three-comic week from my own perspective.
I dunno why I waited so long to do it. Shortening the time between comics a bit works for me more than I thought it would.
Now that being said, when I start grad school in March the update schedule may have to scale back to Monday/Thursday again. I’ll have to evaluate what the workload is like, see if I can find a part time job, etc.
But until then, I think I’ll keep the three-update week going. So, for the time being, see you all on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays. 🙂
I feel like Selkie would have a lot of fun with paintball when she's older.
Selkie has updated so reliably every Monday and Thursday that I’m going to have trouble adjusting to 3 updates per week. 😛 But more Selkie is good! 😀
Also, when Selkie grows up a bit, she should be a hit at Halloween parties. Love the detail of her eyes in the gloom of the doorway. Is that just for effect or do her eyes shine light back like those of a cat?
Yeah! Can Selkie see well in the dark? That would be neat. She has cat-eyes after all. And mer-people might live in a city at the bottom of a lake, and it’s not very bright down there! But if they can build a city they can build light sources I suppose.
I bet Selkie would love paintball, although she will probably need some kind of protective gear for her gills. I’m not an expert, but I imagine getting hit in the gills would hurt, as sensitive as they are likely to be.
By the way, was it simply an artistic choice for Selie’s eyes to be visible in the dark, or do her eyes reflect light like those of a cat? Her eyes look cat-like, but I don’t want to make assumptions about their workings based on appearances.
Hey, getting nailed in the ribs hurts, so I imagine gills would too. Yow. Also, either way, I think that the eyes would be cool. Certainly has dramatic effect, and if it works the way a cat’s does, it would also make sense. Water is very dark, after all. Hmm… I wonder if they have any kind of bio-luminescence….
Payback’s a bitch, isn’t it George?
Yeah… forget about playing Haunted House – Selkie´s going to play Haunted Bedroom!
Woot!
I predict Georgie’s gonna freak out and yell “MONSTER!!!”(read it in Shaggy’s voice) or something like that, and then Selkie’s gonna think he is calling *her* a monster and take it personally…
Well, no. If she’s deliberately being Super Scary, then she would expect to be perceived that way.
But I don’t see how she would expect George to be scared of the mask that he brought himself.
Selkie seems like she gets pretty sensitive and takes a lot of things personally, so I think it’s a pretty reasonable assumption that if he called her a monster she’d be offended by it.
MWAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!
She will make the boy cry…
….and awkward details will follow!
MWAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!
So who’s “Cypress Miller”?
Think it’s supposed to like Miley Cyrus but honestly every time I see it I think of Cypress Hill
