I love this. Really this whole scene has been great. I mean, they are a really great family, and why was summed up great on this page. I really liked it when the two offered up their hands as a test! The openness and togetherness of the family is awesome!
My brother has proven on multiple occasions that the Greens are the most solid property. Not as profitable as Park Place and Boardwalk, but much more likely to get landed on. He’s a shrewd guy.
If only you could claim the tax that sits between the two. Automatic victory. Though you’d almost certainly have to have some other form of income, since trying to upgrade them costs a bomb. (Though is it the same cost as the greens? Or was an exception made for them?)
Also, I noticed it after I posted, and now Qi beat me to it (you have some cool commenting speeds), is hell considered swearing in this family or not? I’d assume so.
I can just imagine what was going through Selkie’s head in the 5th panel. I’m thinking a more intense version of the Sharkbait (oo ha ha) scene in Finding Nemo.
Now I’m wondering if Antoine is speaking from experience on this one. Maybe the lives his biological parents came from were really bad and he feels better concentrating on his family that he has now. This strip made me curious about who the three kids’ biological parents are, but more than that I love what a great troll Antoine is.
Umad, Sis?

What an elaborate way to call “first”.
Glad someone understood that. I thought maybe he’d been drinking his breakfast before posting, or something.
My guess was that he(?) didn’t speak english and had just copy/paste from “Google translate.”
first like a sir

Go directly to Jail, Do not pass Go, do not collect $200
Marta, swear jar.
I love Selkie´s face when she says “Initiations!!”.
YES! Third corner! Though, I just got the yellows + the thing in between it (water works?) Didn’t bother grabbing the greens.
(Also, it took me a minute to figure out what that was a verbose version of, …)

They can’t catch her EVERY time. XD
haha, that troll face is ugly as sin on him, but that got a good laugh out of me (no offence intended) XP
monopoly was the tradition for my family too, we always seam to forget how much we hate it by the time we play it again!
Trollface is ugly as sin anyway. XD
Control the 3rd corner you say… My strategy will never be the same again!

Monopoly is a bad way to invite her into the family, I’ve had fist fights over Monopoly.
Monopoly??
OH GOD.
That just may be worse than some of the frat/sorority initiations I’ve heard of (and I’m still in university).

Does Selkie get to be the (pretty, purple fishy) shoe?
I don’t get why everyone fights over the shoe. At my home we fought over the car. 😛
The boat is the best piece. Especially when everyone else wants the cannon XD
Gotta agree, the boat is the best! I never understood the allure of the other pieces, the boat has the best detail.
Oops. No red mark on Todd’s hand in that 4th frame.
Ah, monopoly. The game that never ends XD
Lol, trollface. xD I like Antoine more now after all that. What a good uncle~
Marta in that last panel…perfect.
Pfft. Buck Monopoly, play Risk.
Aw. Selkie’s probably been on the wrong end of some initiations before.
On the third panel Antoine’s rash is a smiley
