Cis woman here. Pretty sure I’ve never even touched a girl bow in my life (maybe when I was a toddler??). Have shot arrows with a weapon bow.
I knew what Selkie was talking about here, and honestly I’m surprised there was any confusion for anyone; after all, her bow being *magical* (I mean, not really lol) and the only keepsake from her mum was a significant plot point. It was not a random object.
I guess if it was a printed conic with zero waiting time between pages there would be zero confusion.
Yeah, Resonance infused rocks sounds right on the path towards “bomb” to me. That and lasers can only be utilized by Echoes’ but infused rocks can be used by ANYONE.
I guess I guess that’s one of the differences in growing up as a boy instead of a girl.
When she said “her bow”, I didn’t think “hair bow”. My immediate thought was “bow and arrow”, and I’m thinking, HER BOW??
well, i grew up as a girl (i’m nonbinary now), and i thought the same thing, so… *shrug*
Cisgendered woman, and my first question was “When was she allowed to take up archery?’ lol

Cis woman who even wore bows as a kid, I still thought of archery XD
And Amanda’s axe. 😉
And (probably) Grandpa’s sword.
Oh, beans. That was supposed to be a reply to Alpo. :/
Yes! 😄
I guess because the ‘black rocks” are the most basic parts of Resonance-based weapons systems

Well.. No one wants a sweat shop full of little fish kids making rock circuits all day at.
“Lasers fine, rocks bad. I guess?”
I wouldn’t say lasers are fine. But lasers appear to be instinctive, so learning to control them is kind of important.
(Apologies if this already went through before.)
MELT. ROCK.
Yeah, I can see why that would a hard ‘no’.
Lasers go off NOW. Rocks go off whenever you want, from a distance.
i guess they have a vibrate function, then
