Today's edition of the Secret Commentary is empty, because Dave failed to come up with something for it.

There we go. Clearing the air and apologizing. Not sure where all the shipping stuff started coming from. Seemed like a bit of a stretch and wouldn’t really have made sense from a narrative perspective. But wanting to apologize for past behavior makes a lot of sense since we’ve seen Tony try to make some past amends after the snowball/slapfight fiascos and his feelings afterwards.
100%. In addition to not every story in a comic having to involve romance, these are kids. They still think the other gender has cooties for the most part. People obsession with “shipping” is bizarre.
I meant to say this two updates back, then said it last update when I was confident that we weren’t getting one today. I really suspected Tony here to turn out to really be an undercover space alien agent studying humans and by extension, Sarnothi. I also wasn’t expecting this to be for an apology.
Happy EatenNap! May your sports-ball team of choice be victorious.
awwww. There’s a lot of character growth there…
Well, I don’t care for Green Bay myself, but it’s better than Milwaukee.
Man, this is hitting me in everywhere right now. These characters, to me, have never been more alive
Ah, Tony. Wonderful and yet very stark, as growing up often is.
Did Tony’s parents not know where she was? If there was that severe of a break between the generations, there may be home that she’s not a terrible person.
aw, good for him. If he never cleared the air first, that’d linger.
Yeah, the unspoken “wish I had made up for this while I still had the chance” regrets are some of the worst, even when they’re about little things.
Also, this is yet another data point in favor of Dave making all the villains redeemable or understandable, which makes me wonder about how he’s gonna work over the Sarnothi main villain guy.
Aww, Tony grew a heart!
(I completely relate to the Eat&Nap name. I pretty much passed out on the car ride home.
