Also got an adorable Fanart today from Ed Gedeon of Everyday Heroes
I deliberately left the emblems off Heather and Amanda's shirts in Jessie's flashback. I don't think her attention to small detail is very top notch. XD
Um…I’m confused. Isn’t Heather the one that didn’t do it that was adopted by the preppy parents? Amanda is the troublemaker. Didn’t George see it was Amanda who pulled it out of her desk, then blamed Heather when Keisha got blamed for it?
Heather took it, pulled it out of her desk, and offered it to Amanda as a gift because Amanda’s reaction to overhearing that Selkie’s shirt got stolen was to chuckle.
… Or is George getting back at Heather for some slight. He obviously remembers what happened in the classroom, ala the flashback, yet tells it incorrectly… on purpose? Hm…
No, that’s seems to be the long and short of what actually happened. Amanda and Keisha were snarking about it, Heather asked if they thought it was funny and wanted the shirt, SHE TOOK IT OUT IN FRONT OF EVERYBODY, and then Keisha snatched it and made it clear that what Heather did was not cool.
And then, they said she did it and took her away instead of investigating. Our educators, ladies and gentlemen.
Yeah, Bob, but the Administration could recover here. Jessie ‘the TA’ has the ball and is wide open. If she gets it to ‘Schoolteacher’ Afkhami, or can find a clear shot to “Das Principal’ Ashton, there could be a turnaround in just a few moments…
Okay… After reading strip 752 and 753 over, I realize I missed strip 753 completely and didn’t realize Heather WAS the one who took the shirt! Also, in strip 752, the sign behind the coach reading all the funnies about not spitting. Love it, Dave!
Dunno about redeemed she still is guilty of being a bully; she’s just not guilty of this stunt. After all she was chuckling at Selkie’s misfortune, then suddenly the culprit reveals herself and suddenly she’s all “this isn’t cool” despite moments ago finding it funny. I think Keisha realized Heather’s stunt could get them all in trouble, and acted to “tell” our of self preservation than any consideration for Selkie.
I wouldn’t mind Keisha being cleared but I still feel she, Heather and Amanda need to be brought accountable for their bullying ways.
“Grounded” kinda works for a generalized punishment that removes a kid from regular activity. It’s unlikely George would really know what specific punishment would be called for. I mean, how often would ‘a kid stole another kid’s shirt and left her stranded in the girl’s room’ come up?
Ooh, Jessie’s “epic fail” face looks a lot like mine, when I realize a really bad mistake. Also, while using the words “epic fail” rarely works outside of internet usage (in the webcomic’s world), in this case it’s just perfect. XD
Also glad that George spoke up, now let’s hope Jessie acts fast!
XD Jessie, I love your last line. And thank GOD Georgie told what he saw!
Also, I’ve been sick on and off for three weeks straight, and being able to read these comics have been cheering me up quite a bit. So I’d like to say, thank you, Dave.
A Selkie update is definitely what I needed after a night and day filled with sickness… it always puts a smile on my face. 🙂
So, now, is Keisha going to be mad with Selkie for being falsely accused? After all for all she knows Selkie knows who took her shirt and knowingly falsely accused Keisha out of (kind of justified) spite.
Or is Selkie going to tell how it happened, and apologize to Keisha for the false accusation, and this is going to be the beginning of a wonderful friendship?
Selkie didn’t know who took her shirt, only that it was taken. She didn’t falsely accuse Keisha. Keisha was found with the shirt, and when Selkie saw her brought in with the shirt she assumed Keisha did it, which was logical.
I think both girls owe each other apologies; though it’s understandable that Selkie arrived at the wrong conclusion, given Keisha’s past
behavior.
But yes, holding grudges can be suffocating after awhile.
Georgie has now ranked ‘awesome’ in my book.
George saves the day.
If anyone listens to him.
An “epic fail” which truly is epic, LOL.

Ha ha just looked one comment up and saw you already self-corrected. Disregard! XD

Georgie: 1
School Administration: OWNED

Inconvenient truth! Silence this child immediately!
Winslow, you took the postal order, ADMIT IT!
Selkie’s best friend has totally come through! Yay, George!
Yes, that is pretty awesome, but I love how you made the truth come out. At least Keisha will be redeemed.
On a related note, I just love the last panel. Freaking awesome!

I love Jessie’s face when she says ‘epic fail’ XD
Best expression ever.
Also, yay for George! Someone came through with the truth!
Grounded? At school? Suspended, expelled, detention – yes, but “grounded”?
“Grounded” kinda works for a generalized punishment that removes a kid from regular activity. It’s unlikely George would really know what specific punishment would be called for. I mean, how often would ‘a kid stole another kid’s shirt and left her stranded in the girl’s room’ come up?
I should have known he’d come to the rescue. Yay Georgie!
Huzzah! smiles abound!
Get that information to the nurse’s station, so we can all stop waiting for a resolution without tears~
Finally, someone with a lick of sense, and huzzah that it’s George! Woohoo!! 🙂 And yes, Jessie, epic fail of magnanimous proportions!
Woohoo, go George!! XD I’m so glad he spoke up.
8D I really love today’s piece of fanart, it’s so sweet.

“Hamster Huey and the Gooey Kablooey”! Is Selkie’s clownfish named Hobbes? 😉 I like it.
Georgie and Jess, save the day! Go, go, now! Or at least phone in to the office so the kids aren’t unattended.
man I love this comic!

Awesome fan art today. I love the clown fish ‘toy’ she’s sleeping with lol.
Yay Georgi! You know what here are some extra exclamation points just because you deserve them!!!!!!!!
Georgie to the rescue!

To make it worse Jesse can’t even leave to tell anyone because she was already scolded for leaving the kids on their own today.
Here’s hoping Selkie can forgive Keisha and apologize 🙂
I think both girls owe each other apologies; though it’s understandable that Selkie arrived at the wrong conclusion, given Keisha’s past

“Epic Fail.”
Yes, yes it is. We’ve all been saying this. This entire school seems to have been participating in one grand “EPIC FAIL.”
Anyone notice goo from Foster’s home for imaginary friends?
I love Selkie’s bed. Looks so comfortable…. for her.
