Hey Dave, just to let you know, I went back two pages to catch up, and Monday’s comic had no working Next button. I had to reload the page from the main link to see today’s comic. 🙂 I love this comic so much! I have been following since my now 16 year old was so little! She drew once a My Little Pony version of Selkie. One day I’ll find it again and share with you.
Ok. That’s a little much there Tehk. But I think this is gonna open up for talking through the issue and make sure he understands that he and Selkie are more similar than not.
Oh, kiddo. I’m sure this is a raw nerve. I’m also sure there was no way whatsoever you could have kept it secret while still getting it fixed because, y’know, they need to make sure it’s fixed. Sorry, kiddo.
I’m sure Tehk imagined Pohl would fix it without Selkie watching.
At this point Selkie’s best movie is probably to promise not to ask or talk about it, but I have no idea if she’ll think of that or if it would even work.
My understanding was that Tehk didn’t even know Pohl existed but wanted Selkie to fix it – and even then he went through Amanda. Pretty sure he isn’t thinking clearly.
Amanda told him there are experienced Echoes teaching Selkie, so he knows in the abstract that someone *like* Pohl exists. Learning that may have adjusted his expectations about what Selkie would see.
And he went through Amanda because he thought he had leverage over her that would let him maintain control of the situation.
I think at this point actions would speak louder than words. She should just turn the thing on and hold the picture in her palm for him. That would probably shut him up.
However, Selkie is too hot headed for that. What she will probably do instead is respond to Tehk’s yelling with yelling of her own. It will probably escalate into a trip to the office…..
They would have had to turn it on to make sure it was working, didn’t think that through, did you Tehk
Whoa, back of Tehk. Kinda necessary to see if it works to know you’ve fixed it.
Can’t “fix” it if you don’t know what it’s supposed to do, and can;t know if it’s fixed if you don’t test it.

I’ll check on it, thank you. That drawing sounds super cute! Hope you can find it

You also didn’t say she shouldn’t look at it, QED my dude.

I think she’ll shut down a bit. Makes her relive the Tommy Trunchbull situation.
Believable response from Tehk; I’ve been similarly irrational in comparable situations. Here’s hoping they can both get past his initial outburst.
