I freaking love this comic, for many reasons but right now how deep and multifaceted the characters are. I’ve read that it’s common for children, esp. around Selkie’s age, to deal with traumatic events by fictional reenactment in play. What she’s doing now seems to fit that bill so nicely, and it makes me really, really happy that she’s making space for herself to work through all the memories and recent events in a safe, healthy way.
I mean, talking through it with a trusted adult could be even better, but this is still a good start, and better than some people do. Dave, I freaking love the stories you tell; thank you so much for sharing, and as always I look forward to more!
I mean, good she is working through her memories? I want to hug Selkie and tell her it’s going to be alright!

Oh, kiddo.
Hmm.
I wonder if the whole “Doctor Terrorhammer” thing is from (not so) repressed memories.
“Probably”.
Oh no, are we gonna be doing another dream thing?
naw
Bonus point: a written story can be found, like a diary.
So what if Todd or someone else finds it?
How hard do the webbed fingers make it to hold a pen?
