ToI considered changing the first two panels to show Selkie explaining to her teachers that she left gym class to get her bag for a bathroom trip, but I think the progression works better without the expo-speak that scene would have required.
Uh-oh, I see a looming figure following close behind Selkie! If a swirly is coming her way, our mysterious figure’s gonna be in a for a shock when it helps her instead!

Are the towels missing from the toilet or from her bag? If the latter, is someone trying to sabotage her already? Also, wouldn’t a wet shirt be a bigger issue than taking clothes off for the flush?
Poor Selkie. It looked like she was doing pretty good there for a while.

I wonder if flushing her gills right before gym class would help her make it all the way through. It´s been a couple of hours since she flushed them in the morning.

By the way I didn’t notice the new art style on the previous page but here its much more apparent. I’m loving it! I think Selkie looks great this way! The backgrounds look a lot better than they have too.
Dang, that ominous figure is not Selkie’s size; all the more threatening. Though that still doesn’t mean some jerk peer didn’t steal her towels.
I remember all too well how cruel kids can be to each other, with and without malice.
Love the new rendering of the background!!! Very 3-d-ish and it gives the rest of the comic a shiny look :3

As to the last panel, I’d guess she takes her t-shirt off to flush her gills, so she goes into a cubicle for privacy.
Y’know, maybe it’s just me…but it looks like her backpack has a face in the fifth panel.

Ok, I’m seeing a little scene in my head of what might happen. My guess is that Tony’s going to enter the bathroom to steal her shirt or do something to mean. She’ll either be in the middle of changing or something and will freak out. Her natural defensive instincts will kick in and she’ll either bite or scratch him and he’ll get poisoned or whatnot and she’ll freak out and call her dad or the orphanage since they’ll know about an anti-toxin or something.
