Action scene! 😀
– – – – –
I share two great new Fan Arts today! First is from DeviantArt user CupcakeDoll:
And second is a page of sketches by A. Melinat:
And third is two submissions by repeat fan artist Esme Ever After:
Thank you all!
I think this may be the first strip with no dialog since the early days. O_o
GO FOR THE KILL!
It’s time for grimness and retribution.
Grim Retribution!
Yes!
Dis’ is gunna get all Martrix-y up in this court!
It.IS.ON
I love the floaty, heels-high jump Selkie does in celebration. Totally awesome.
GET ‘IM, SELKIE!
Go Selkie! Yous can do its!
End of Line
lol panel 3 is all Party time Pinkie, then panel five is all serious Rarity.
I can’t wait to see how this turns out. But, I’m expecting Matrix style moves out of her now.
I love this action scene! It reminds me very much of the better class graphic novels that have close-up freeze-frames of the movement, like the frame of Selkie’s shoes. And I love how her hair fluffs up in 3rd panel. And the last 3 frames combined in a picture of Selkie, the ball and Tony, bring to mind some “vs.” movie posters. Well done all around! 😀
(And I hope Selkie kicks his ass thoroughly. :P)
Wow, there’s a lot of balls in this match… Consider that for every ball in the panel, there’s likely another in a kid’s hands as they aquire a target, and another that’s bouncing around after having missed/hit it’s target…
Rock His Socks, Selkie! 😀
Esme Ever After:
Love your fan art!
The look on Selkie’s face in the 3rd frame is priceless!
Kick his butt, little girl!
I think any price for those shoes would be worth it, just to see that smile full of joy.
Makes me wonder if the economy turns around, and I get my own place, if I should adopt an orphan. Then reality comes falling down and I realize I would never get approved to adopt anybody. Before people ask it is a reasonable reason, I have schizo-affective(schizophrenia accompanied be mood disorders).
Translation of the look in Selkie’s eyes: “It’s on, chump!”
I love the tumbleweed action in the fourth panel 🙂 Like a western, but with dodgeball 😀
Does it sound like this? (link to a youtube video)
I’m just hoping she doesn’t accidentally scratch him while going for the ball and find out that she’s developing some kind of nerve toxin.
Ohcrap, what if Selkie shares her food with someone in the cafeteria and they get whatever is bothering Todd inside them? @.@
Thank god most kids don’t like sushi.
Are you kidding? I’m hoping she’ll bite him to give him a dose of reality!
I would think that schoolkids with extensive and serious food allergies know better than to share food with other schoolkids.
“Here, I have a Peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich! Want half?”
“Noes thanks!”
Selkie looks so happy to be able to run, it’s adorable!
And that is some uber fantastic fanart. I wonder if that’s Ponyo she’s holding in the first piece. XD
I was thinking the same thing! I thought it looked like Ponyo. XD
Go for it, Selkie!! Whoo!!
I really hope that Selkie ends up kicking the ball HARD and that it smacks Tony in his most sensitive parts, and maybe have him get a bloody nose from another flying ball as well. Also there was definitely some amazing fanart up there.
I really liked the picture of the girl jumping to hit the volleyball. Looking good!
Me thinks a boy may have a crush on a girl and so feels the need to pull her hair, throw balls at her head and other “mean” boy things.
Or maybe he hates her the way that blong red head girl does.
The “he only does it because he likes you” was used to explain away 3 years of torture at school in my case. I tend to react violently to that suggestion.
…mind you, I eventually reacted violently to him too, hitting him on the head with a frying pan. (He got away without concussion and I got away with it because the teacher didn’t see and the rest of the class knew he deserved it.) 😛
My daughter was being bulled for a while, and after a little bit, my take was, “If he wants to get her attention, he can bloody well learn how to do it without being A JERK.”
The whole “boys torment the girls they like” has poison roots when you consider what that’s called when they’re grown-ups.
Ahem. GO, GO, SELKIE SMITE!
Far as I’m concerned, your reactions and replies are just as poisonous.
Thank you for assuming I’ve never had to deal with being tomented by a bully and can not make a fair judgment call on the fictional behaviors of a web comic child character and bullying me in to submision to your views.
I for one was not trying to bully you in any way. I was merely stating why I hate that turn of phrase. It’s called commenting – your comment made me think of something that I thought I’d share.
That would be why I added the “or maybe he hates her” at the end seeing as I’ve had both happen to me growing up in all stages of school life with one ending only after I slammed said boy into a wall and other times ending in similar violent reactions.
Seeing as I also went through high school with a bunch of boys making cruel and sexual harassing remarks and behaviors that nobody in authority- including my family- did anything about because the boys were black and I was not and I had to deal with it and get them to stop by myself without violence.
Please do not assume that just because a person says things that you assume a certain way you can assume they are one of those non-violent white lighters that never bothered to live in the real world where nothing bad happens to them. I’ve had plenty of shit happen to myself and others around me to make a far judgment call on the fictional behaviors of a web comic child character.
I love the first three panels. The sudden, light-footed “boing!”, not quite sure she can do it. Landing, sure-footed. Jumping again, suddenly no longer walking on knives (…I SEE WAT U DO THERE!), smiling… That. Just. Rocks.
Why am I thinking a Matrix montage(sp?) is coming up?
Aww! The expression on her face when she realised she could be agile. Priceless.
This comic is just great~
Panel four: the good the bad the ugly theme starts playing
